When I turn the know on for the dash fan it turns on both the dash fan and the rad fan. I know this because I can physically see this despite that countless people have told me that this shouldn't happen. Anyways it when the rad fan kicks in the interior light dims and the car begins to shake. I also turned the key half way, so as not to turn on the engine fan, and the dash fan works fine. Would this mean that rad fan has a loose bearing? Or would I have to look at replacing the motor for the rad fan?
I would check the radiator fan in the car for looseness. If the fan wobbles or moves , Then change out the radiator fan. The radiator fan and motor come as one piece. There is a fan relay also should be replaced.
When turning the key only half way to make the dash fan work, indicates that the dash fan is okay.
The dash fan may make a whining or high pitch noise when engage. Then I would change it out because an internal bearing to the fan is going out.
Good luck
