There are screws that connect the outer portion of the fender (the black painted part) to a black plastic piece underneath the car and going up into the wheel well. From the point where it goes from horizontal (ahead of the wheel well) to vertical, remove three screws in both directions. You may have to get a pair of locking pliers (vise-grips) to start them. Once removed you can lay on the ground and look up into the space where the light is. You can twist and remove to replace the bulb, and it also looks like there's enough room to get tools up in there if you have to replace the lens.

1996 Windstar driver side headlight burned out just a few minutes after replacing. Went to high beam and it also burned out in a few minutes.

first thing to check for is if there water in light housing alot times the seals will go bad and allow water to collect in light soon as water hits the hot bulb it blows bulb
if this is case u have two options cheap way is to drill a small hole in lower corner of light so water drains
option 2 is to replace light housing

if there no water in light housing make sure when u install bulb you don't touch the clear part of the bulb at ALL the oil from your hands will cause the bulb to blow u do accidentally touch bulb clean with rubbing alcohol

When drivind loud vibration from front end does this going backwards too the noise is reduced some when turning a left hand curve 2000 ford windstar also makes like a binding sound as well

Wheel bearings, Drivers side is bad. You can check this by lifting the front tires off the ground. Grab the top and bottom of the tire and try to move it up and down, not spin it. If it has any play the bearing is bad. Check both sides. You can spin it and if you feel any roughness, it's bad.

2000 zx-2 driver's side brake light not working

Try replacing the bulb. You can access it from the trunk by pulling back the carpet on the backside where the lens is. It will either have plastic wingnuts or small fastners...the bulb pops right oout...just replace it. $5.00 for the bulb....looks like this:

Change headlights for ford windstar 2000

open hood.behind plastic headlight assembly, towards the corners, locate two square metal 'tabs' these are the 'handles' of the retaining brackets pry/pull straight out.remove bolt near grille opening.pull assembly forward to access lamp socket.turn socket counterclockwise, remove & replace bulb.do not touch glass of a halogen bulb, the oil from your fingers will cause a 'hot spot' & bulb may fail prematurely.clean 'touched' bulb w/ alcohol.

2000 Windstar All brake and tail lights dead, fuse ok

A VERY common Ford issue, is grounding. a ground may look clean, but it is too dirty to allow function. find your grounds and give them a scrub with a scotch brite pad they should be nearby to the bulb, normally they rear lights all combine into one

Turn indicator light flashes quickly. bulbs fine

The quick flash is a fault detection for a burnt out bulb. If bulb is good, check bulb socket. Inspect for corrosion. If needed, replace bulb socket. Check bulb socket connector. Check if fuse. Check emergency flashers ( most cars have a separate circuit).

2000 Windstar head light power door lock and front blinker

Check your fuses under hood and on dash. Some of these use two different fuses for rt. & lt. Look in you owners manual for the correct fuses to check. If it is a fuse problem, you will have to find out why the fuse was blown. Good luck
