1998 Saturn SL not sparking and not starting - onepx.gif 1. Test the AC voltage output from the Crankshaft Position (CKP) sensor while cranking at a normal speed. It should produce at least 250 millivolts.

2. Retest the voltage at the Powertrain Control Module (PCM) on the Yellow wire in terminal D13 and the Purple wire in terminal D14.

let me know please thanx i hope it fix

Do you have spark? Do you have correct fuel pressure? Compression?

1998 SATURN 4 DOOR DOHC JUST REPLACED THE HEAD GASKET MYSELF WHICH WENT FINE. BOUGHT NEW SPARK PLUGS AND I HAVE THE CORRECT FIRING ORDER BUT FOR SOME REASON 2 OF THE SPARK PLUGS ARE NOT GIVING ENOUGH

Are you saying the engine will not crank, or not start ?
If you think two of the cylinders are not getting spark, something may have happened to the coil pack or the crank-cam sensors.
If all 4 plug wires are getting spark, two of them may be on the wrong cylinders. The firing order is not always the same as the plug wire layout.

I have 1998 saturn sl 2 car starts after 5 or 6

Spray ether into the air intake and see if it still takes 5 or 6 cranks...if it starts immediately, it is fuel related, perhaps fuel presure regulator is bad. If the ether doesn't change anything...it is most likely a cam sensor...good luck!

1994 saturn sl 1.9l 5 speed wont sart now. ran a few times poorly

try checking your alternator, charge the batt and then try starting car if the car starts pull off your batt terminals and if car does stall out then 9 out of 10 the alternator is shot, if it doesn't then get a ac/dc tester then put it to the post on the alternator and if it is not putting out 13.8 or 14.o then you have to try to find a short, a bad wire, or a bad ground and if you cant find one then pull it out and bring it to a aoutozone or a advanced outo and have them bench test it.

What would cause my1999 Saturn sl1 not to start after a new head gasket was put on? Ok so today we replaced the head gasket on my 1999 Saturn Sl1 single cam. We made sure the timing chain was put back on...

Check the cam/crank sensors. Also, if the car happens to have a distributor, make sure it is not 180 degrees off. If this does not help, then do a compression check. Remember, and engine only needs three things to run. Fuel, Spark, and Compression. (in order of course.) The firing order for your engine is 1,4,3,2.

1998 Saturn Engine won't start, after multiple tries, it floods

to unflood your engine you can just leave it alone overnight or take out the spark plugs and dry them off yourself but be sure to label your wires. if it is fuel injected you dont need to push the gas pedal to start it. as far as it not starting it could be its either not getting a spark or not getting any fuel you can check for a spark with a spark tester found at auto parts stores and to check for fuel they have a tester for that as well which if faulty will lead to fuel filter and or pump replacement if no spark then it could be the coil or plugs

1998 saturn sl will not start if it gets bellow 32 degrees

I would check the cold start valve. It is also known as the fifth injector. It injects a small amount of fuel only during cold weather. Also might be called an enrichment valve. The same a s a choke on carb. models.
