My truck is overheating. We've changed out the water pump, thermostat and even the cap on the resevoir. After 10 mins of running, it still over heats to the max heat (and the warning comes on). What else could it be?
Could be air look or radiator.Any leak head gasket.

Water pump is locate on the front center of the engine.
I will rate water pump change as a 7/10 in difficulty scale.
You should check for special tool(s) requirement from the library before you start.
It's a good time to change the drive belt at the same time.
50/50 coolant mix is fine.
If you haul heavy load or in cold climate then bump it up to 60/40 mix
DO NOT FORGET to find or draw the belt routing diagram before you undo the tension.
A 30 second sketch will save you a lot of time.

After replacing the thermostat, you must bleed the air from the cooling system.
To bleed air from the 2.2L and 2.5L engines, remove the plug or sensor
on the top of the thermostat housing. Fill the radiator with coolant
until the coolant comes out the hole. Since the plug is made out of
steel and the thermostat housing is aluminum, it is a good idea to
apply an anti-seizing compound or Teflon® tape on the plug threads
prior to installation. Install the plug and continue to fill the
radiator. This will vent all trapped air from the engine.
Any trapped air in the heating system will have to be displaced by coolant. Once the cooling system is filled, with the radiator cap off, turn of the heater at it's highest setting. Start the engine and allow it to reach operating temp. You should see a drop in the coolant level as the air in the heating system is displaced by coolant. Add coolant to the proper level and replace the radiator cap.
Keep a close eye on the coolant level for at least the next couple of weeks. The cooling system is a "closed" system. Any significant decrease in coolant level indicates a problem.

Check for any signs of water leaking to the ground and if you do locate a leak follow the path. There could be a leak from the drain plugs, water jacket freeze plugs, water pump seals, the coolent temp switch, damaged gaskets, or a small crack somewhere in the coolent system. Check all hoses to see if they leaking or loose at clamps and connections. And if you cannot find a leak anywhere. check the radiater core or header tank, if the leak is in the radiater you should remove and replace, or have professionally repaired. Still can't find any leak. Ckeck your oil for water or foam. And if you do see that it is here, it's most likely a head gasket leak.
