What does codes P0720 and P0463 mean?
Code 720 is for a problem with the speed sensor in the transmission. The sensor and circuit would need to be checked.
Code 463 is saying the signal from the gas tank sending unit is too high. The sending unit uses a resistor to send a signal back to the computer and the gas gauge. Again, the sending unit and the circuit would need to be checked out.

P0463 is not a part number. It's a fault code indicating fuel level sending unit volts too high. You don't indicate the year or model Jeep you have. The problem most likely is with the fuel gauge sending unit. It is inside the fuel tank.
SOURCE: Can you tell me what p0463 code means on my 2005 Liberty
p0463 is a self diagnostic code that is for the fuel gage sending unit located inside the fuel tank if your fuel gage is reading empty just after you filled it then that verify's the code is correct you have a bad sending unit

Hello. There are several possible causes of your issue. Replacing parts to find the root cause is an expensive route for you. Why not drive to an AAMCO and have them give you the free computer scan which may pinpoint the issue. On the otherhand, nothing may show up. To prevent running out of fuel be sure to maintain a log of fuel use. Good luck. Joe

Hi, you can see a full list of Jeep DTCs here: http://jsautosource.com/factory-manuals/dtc-definitions/full-list-of-all-definitions-for-dodge-chrystler-jeep-dtc-codes/
Your engine light will probably return immediately after clearing the codes until the P0700 is rectified. The 705 indicates your range sensor is out of adjustment or broken. The range sensor is mounted to the side of the transmission where the cable attaches. It may be adjustable. Normally, when the range sensor fails, the starter will not turn, because the sensor provides the park/neutral safety interlock to ensure the transmission is not in gear. Also, the range sensor usually includes the backup light switch. I usually adjust the sensor by putting the transmission in reverse, turning the key on, loosening the switch, and rotating it until the backup lights come on.
