Alarm,,,pull fuse or dismantle

Most car alarms have a small back-up battery inside them... just replace the battery and keep using it. If it's broken, get a used one from a junkyard. Pulling the fuse is the safest option as many cars have a link between the factory alarm system and the ECM which won't allow the car to start.

Golf 1 1.4i 2001 not starting because of factory

Hi. the factory alarm should not cause the car to not start. There will be an isuue with the key code or TCI ignition module. These need to be programmed after repairs so will need to go into a dealer.

Factory alarm for 2001 cabrio, is it part of the radio?

No, it is not part of the radio unit proper. I have been driving my car since it was 3 days old without the factory radio. I could not tell you where the alarm is located, & I would not cut any of the original wires that lead to the radio to the harness, those might have something to do with the alarm, Vw tends to wire things funny

I can manually start my car after I armed the keyless entry alarm on my 09 Ford Focus? Why?

Hi Kenneth, I'm glad to help!
I'm not positive about FORD's alarm system, but I do know with Chrysler alarm systems if you have the key with you, you can still start the car. BUT, If someone messes with the vehicle in anyway, then it shuts down the fuel system. Just to be positive, if I were you I'd contact the Ford Dealer and ask them. Hope this helps and have an awesome day Kenneth.

I replaced a battery in my 2001 pontiac montana n the lights started blinking as if the alarm was going off.i hit the unlock n lock button n the blinking stopped. i have power, lights n radio but van wont...

It can be any of the car doors not got properly locked or the door is locked but the switch is not sensing the door locked. Open and close each door again properly.

Or else its problem with any of switch wiring getting in contact with alarm wiring causing it to happen.

And last thing alarm connections need to be inspected. It's getting short somewhere in between.

There are few help links with solutions, to troubleshoot these types of problems. I suggest going through these links.

I have a wire hanging down from my dash around the fuse area the car was running fine til this wire came out now it doesnt start what is it and how do i fix it?

The is no factory wire on a focus that will do that. It might be an aftermarket radio, alarm, keyless entry system that was poorly installed by previous owner and now shorted out. A fuse may be blown as well. If an aftermarket security system, it may be preventing the car from starting until everything is back in place (or completely removed). Good luck

My son has an automatic 2001 ford focus se.. It has bad vibrations under the gas pedal area and seems loud when driving.. The vibrations are there even when the car isn't moving.. The motor sounds...

Without seeing the car this can only be my best guess.

The exhaust runs out of the engine then between the engine and trans then right under the middle of the car, check your exhaust, look for missing or broken hangers.

The factory radio is ****, Ebay has many factory replacements, it seems the volume knob always fails first. To remove the unit go to your local Advance Auto or like and get the Ford radio removing kit, it's 2 bent wires O_o!

I do hope this helps.

Car won't start after change battery

Your vehicle has 2 ignition wires that you can put back to factory, and start the vehicle.
The wires you are looking to put back together are PINK and DARK GREEN - and found under the D/S dash. (ignition harness - right side of steering column) They will be larger in Diameter than the others.
They were cut to install the security system. They go into the "brain" and out the other side. A relay inside the BRAIN is most likely failing.
If you no longer want the alarm installed, simply match up all of the factory colors. Use crimp-on but t-connectors for secure connection.
Let me know if you need more help.

Mitsubishi Magna GLX 1993 jumpstarting sets off alarm!

Is the alarm factory fitted, cheap, or a top of the range.
the factory alarm you can pull the cable of the horn untill you get the car started.
there are some alarms that go off when there is a voltage change, and some will keep going for a couple of minutes if the battery is dead flat untill there is power to equilze the power abit,
and some alarms have a key over ride in the siren.
if its a cheap alarm take the battery of and charge it,(the alarm will cut out as soon as the battery is disconnected.
~dont jump start from a dead flat battery, as it can cause a lot more problems with the electrics, leave another car running with the jump leads on for at least 5 min first.~
