Low power when accelerating

1988 chev g20 van 350 tbi . Starts & runs good. Low power when accelerating .when accelerating quickly (foot to floor) no power just stumbles badly. Has 20in vacuum.

    SORRY FOR GETTING BACK LATE WITH ANSWER. CHANGED FUEL FILTER ( COULD NOT EVEN BLOW THREW IT).VAN RUNS FINE NOW. WAS FOOLED BECAUSE PREVIOUS CARBURATED
    VEHICLE ACTED SLIGTLY DIFFERENTLY WITH PLUGGED FILTER

I thought the filter might be the issue here, on carb cars the engine tends to stall out with a plugged filter.

95 chevy g20 van started to lose power while driving and began to spit and sputter
Ck your alternator output, should be between 13.8 and 14.2 volts, A bad alt will cause the battery to discharge when driving, Once voltage drops to a certain level (9.8 I think ) the ecm starts to shut down causing all kinds of strange problems, like running bad ,trans not shifting right, even the radio ! It happened to me in my 95 chev p/u

I need a fan belt diagram chevy van 350 tbi -88
Be vary careful I think that it may have a reverse flow water pump. You can install the belt two different ways. Both will work but the wrong way will shorten you engine life a whole lot. Try your local library for a book on you car.

88 chev,350, stick,2wd, 3500, gas flows to
E.C.M control injector pulsation, with key on check for voltage at injector harness, then reverse test light at battery and check for ground at the other wire at injector harness, crank engine ground should have pulsation if none bad E.C.M,good luck,hope this was very helpful.

The heater blower motor would not work on high, low and med was ok. (1993 Chev G20 van)Today, It only works on High and low, med does not work. Replaced blower switch and resistor pack, did not fix it.

1988 silverado, tbi 350 has 12 psi fuel pressure, replaced oil pressure switch and fuel pump relay. starts and runs 2-3 seconds and then shuts off? injectors are fireing good at start up then quit.
Fuel pressure is a little low, check the pressure regulator, and the fuel filter

Drivers side window of 1988 chev 20 van won't go down. it gets power as it clicks when pressing switch. passenger side works fine.
try some white lithium greese and see if that helps if not you might need a whole new gear set for it to spin on

Whining sound from under van only when i push the gas.
The serpentine belt is the most common cause for whining sound when accelerating, try to understand if noise is coming from serpentine belt.

Also check power steering belt under steering column, and also the rotor and chain, thei do not make whining noise , but can make noise when accelerating.

The belt is first suspect.

G,day own a chev van 1988 g20 5ltr, engin light comes on van running like a pig .Took to a auto shop code 11,12,come up not sure what thay mean any help would appreciated
I have a Chevy book covering that year. Code12 is the code that flashes to let you know the ECM is working properly and there is no problem. As to the 11 code there is none in the book for that number.
