Yesterday evening my parents were involved in a minor accident, they were rear ended in their 2003 Chevrolet Cavalier. Immediately after the accident the car wouldn't go into gear, but after pushing it a bit the trans started working ok.
After leaving the accident the car ran fine and everything seemed ok. After about 35 miles of driving the engine quit while going down the road.
We cant hear the fuel pump running and checking the valve in the fuel line we have no fuel.
Is there a fuel safety shut off? Where is it if there is? We checked all the fuel related fuses and everything was ok. The car is in good shape and has always ran fine, and it has about 62,000 miles. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

if u here the fuel pump running then the u should have pressure, refer to your owners manual for more detailed info.
My daughters 2006 Aveo was in a spin-out accident a month ago. Minor dent damage under the car. The check engine light came on immediately after the accident. It ran fine for two days then quit very suddenly while driving at about 40 mph. Engine turned over but would not start, behaving as though it was not getting fuel. Inspected the underside for fuel line damage, etc. and found none. A minor scrtch on the plastic fuel tank caused concern about the fuel pump, but you can hear the pump when turning the key. Last night I discovered the 15 amp fuse to the Fuel Injection system blown. Replaced it and it blows again as soon as the key is turned. I assume this is a short but wondered if a bad injector will behave this way. We got the following codes: P0201, P0202, P0203, P0141, P0443, P0342 and P0449. All circuit related.
