The problem could be your ignition switch. Check both sides of all your fuses with a test light. I would say your not getting power to a few of them. If your fuse for the transmission doesn't get power the transmission stays in third gear all the time.
Just the pan usually . How do you know which solenoid ? There are five of them inside . Normally when one goes out it sets a check engine light an a DTC - diagnostic trouble code .
could be a few things... adjusting of the kickdown cable, over drive switch is not coming one, or od gear is blown.... bring it to a repected transmission shop or the dealer....
