Are you sure the coolant is still low in the bottle. The coolant sensor thats in the bottle has a float that can stick. If it sticks the low coolant light will stay on even if the coolant level is right. Try tapping on the coolant reservoir bottle in the area where the electrical wire enters it. Not too hard. If that is the porblem the light should reset.

I have a 1997 Buick Skylark my fuel cap was not properly put back on and then the check engine light came on, what should I do?

check oil and coolant levels . Check if overheating. Check transmission oil level. If there is nothing obvious. Run the fault codes to check that it is the canister vent problem ( from the incorrectly fitted filler cap). Reset the light with a scanner

My low coolant light stays on. Buick skylark 1997

first verify if the fluid is low or not, in the coolant tank and the radiator. if its low, refill it with water and have it pressure tested asap. if the radiator is not low, the sensor in the radiator is bad and will need replacement.

Low-coolant light came on.. filled with coolant. light still on. Is there a re-set button?

No, it should go off by itself. Give it a little time or maybe tap on the reservoir.

How to change low coolant sensor on 1997 Buick Skylark

Is the sensor in the fill tank, usually the sensor isn't bad just stuck. Try taping the tank with the handle of a screwdriver. If you have to replace it you need to remove the tank and turn it over. If you aren't worried about it you can just unplug the sensor, the light will turn off.
