1993 Pontiac Bonneville - ABS light on, cruise cont. doesn't work

ABS light is on and the cruise control doesn't work in our car. ODBI codes returned are 61 and 43. 61 refers to the vent solenoid circuit. I'd like to try replacing the vent solenoid to see if this fixes it but I can't locate it. Does anyone knows where this component would be located on this vehicle or does anyone know if this is even the problem? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

First, you have to retrieve ABS code, not Powertrain code.
You are looking in the wrong direction.
When there is a Faulty ABS code the Abs module remove the cruise control function.
After you fix the ABS faulty code and erase code you will have the cruise control back again.

hi..the transaxle converter clutch . tcc. uses a solenoid -operated valve located in the automatic transaxle to mechanically couple the engine flywheel to the output shaft of the transmission through the torque converter.that reduces the slippage loss in the converter.reducing emissions.but check the vss first.which is called the vehicle speed sensor.they both work together .if the vss is not working right it wont call on the tcc.
check this out..

It's an exhaust valve inside the transmission, when the solenoid isn't working right, the pressurized fluid can't exhaust through the passages, which can cause rough shifting. It has to be taken to a transmission shop, the transmission pan has to be dropped and possibly the valve body to get at the solenoid. Hope this helped.

2001 Pontiac aztek cruise control stopped working along with the ABS

Cruise control fuse # 31 10amp located in the under hood fuse / relay box an HZDFL fuse # 40 15amp located in the center console fuse box . If you pull the plastic side panel off of the right side of the console there is a fuse box inside . If the fuse are good the control module could be bad . Could also be turned off because the ABS has a problem .
DTC P1554 - do you know what a diagnostic trouble code is ?

The powertrain control module (PCM) has the ability to inhibit cruise control operation if conditions exist that would make cruise operation undesirable. The following conditions may inhibit cruise control operation:
• The engine speed is too high or too low.
• The vehicle speed is too high or too low.
• The traction control has been active for longer than 1 second.
• The vehicle acceleration or deceleration rate is too high

If the ABS light is on ,there are DTC'S stored in the system . Your best bet , take it to a GM dealer or someother qualified repair shop.

Horn doesn't work, abs light on dash stays on and also cruise control does not work either

Typical reason for no cruise and horn is a bad clock spring underneath the airbag. Typically you have an airbag light on as well and not an abs light

The cruise control on my 2004 Bonneville Pontiac stopped working. I checked to fuse and it is still good. What could be the possible problem?

Check to see if the third brake light works. The brake switch works both the crusie and the 3rd brake light

Electrical problems

sounds like the brake light switch is the culprit for both the intermittent brake lights and cruise control problems. the engine warning light could be an unrelated issue that needs to be diagnosed.
