Isn't it a good thing that your vehicle Idles?

SOURCE: Left turn signal stops flashing when brake pedal is depressed.

there is a ground problem, most likely in the tail unit itself, but a ground problem is hard to find and easy to fix. reground the system, the turning unit, and the problem should stop. About the hazards, I don't know...... some times in older cars, that is the way it works. because the brake and hazard element in the bulb is the same and the old cars used a break in the power, but the new cars use a break in the ground. any way, chase the ground down first, it is usually the cause.

2007 Dodge Ram 3500. When I push my brake a chimes go off or if I turn my signal it chimes. My truck a 2007 Dodge Ram 3500. Plus I add LED tail lights, stop light and turn signal.

Remove all the LED bulbs and it will fix it. The LED bulbs contain a low voltage computer circuit board. Information from your bulbs is fed back to the Body Control Module BCM. The BCM doesn't understand the strange information it is getting back from the bulbs. Your flashing is controlled by a computer module.

Where is the turn signal flasher relay located? 2002 Dodge Ram 1500

The combination flasher unit is different than the flashers used in older vehicles. The one used has 14 blade-type connectors and is plugged into a matching connector from the instrument panel. On a Dakota, it is accessed by reaching up just to the left of the steering column, and is above the data link connector. I suspect it is probably in a similar location in a Ram.

Location of flasher unit 2001 dodge pu 2500 ram

A defective turn signal relay in the Ram 2500 can cause your signals to malfunction or stop working entirely. As a relay ages, so does its circuitry. However, the most common cause of relay damage is attributable to an electrical fault in a relative location, such as the taillight assembly. You can find and replace the turn signal relay in your Dodge Ram 2500 with a few common tools. You can do this job at home; it should take you less than 20 minutes to do.

Things You'll Need :

Phillips screwdriver

Socket wrench set

Instructions:

1. Open the driver's door on your Ram 2500. Reach beneath the front of the driver's seat and pull the seat release lever up. Push the seat toward the rear of the truck as far as it will go.

2. Kneel within the door opening so that you're able to see the bottom of the steering wheel. Below the base of the steering wheel you should see a large square piece of trim panel. This is your Ram 2500's knee-blocker panel.

3. Remove the screw on the top, left and right of the panel with a Phillips screwdriver. Along the bottom lip of the panel--horizontally--you should see three more screws. Remove the screws with your Phillips screwdriver.

4. Take the panel off to reveal your interior relay and fuse cluster. If your turn signal relay has never been replaced, it should be the only white relay in the cluster. If it was replaced before with an aftermarket relay, it will likely be black in color. The square turn signal relay sits on the top, outer right corner of the relay and fuse cluster. It pulls out of place and simply plugs back into position.

I hope this helps.

Dodge ram 1500 2007 turn signal malfuction

Good job, and good joe to you for solvin it! Now you'll remember that's a common indicator of a burnt out bulb. For some reason I can't explain, that is how a bad bulb acts on the flasher unit - by more rapid clicking (breaking contact inside the flasher relay at a quicker rate). It seems both the front and rear signal lights have to be working for the normal flasher rate ...well good.

Why would the flashers work on a dodge ram but not the blinkers

If the blinker light is turning on but not blinking the most likely cause would be the turn signal relay. The hazard and turn signals have a seperate relay so this may be why one is working and the other not working. I do not have a diagram but I can tell you that both of those relays are directly in the fuse panel right under the steering column. I hope I was able to help

How to change the signal flasher

Models from 98 on use a combination flasher. This flasher is mounted either on the front or on the back of the junction block.
The combination flasher is a smart relay that functions as both the turn signal system and the hazard warning system flasher. It is designed to handle factory-fitted equipment. If aftermarket equipment is added to this circuit (such as trailers with lights), the flasher will automatically try to compensate to keep the flashing rate the same.
  1. The flasher contains sophisticated internal circuitry that cannot be tested with conventional equipment. Substituting a new unit for a suspected defective version is the easiest test.
  2. On air bag-e quipped vehicles, disconnect the battery negative cable(s) and wait two minutes from the air bag capacitor to discharge.
  3. Remove the junction block cover. If the flasher is accessible, grasp and pull the flasher from the fuse panel.
  4. If the flasher is not mounted on the outside of the junction block, remove the steering column cover from the instrument panel. Reach through the opening to access the fuse block on the back of junction block. Pull off the flasher.
  5. Inspect the socket for corrosion or any other signs of a bad contact.
To install:
  1. Install a new flasher in the connector.
  2. Install the fuse panel cover.
