2001 Jeep Wrangler not starting

My 2001 Jeep Wrangler has done this 3x...the first time I replaced the battery....the second time....I took the battery back to autozone and they said it was completely dead.....now it won't start again.
I will be driving somewhere and when I turn it off and return it won't start at all....completely dead.

Have you check the alternator possible problem. if not that you have a draw on the battery with the key off. you need an amp meter one that will clip around the positive cable from the battery this will tell you if your vehicle has a parasitic draw with the key off. most parts stores have loaner tools you can use. hope this helps some.

Most likely a small evaporative leak will be from the gas cap. Replace the cap, then leave your battery unhooked for about a half hour to clear the code.

I find I have to replace my cap every couple of years.
