My van just turns over but wont start, it was fine yesterday but now it's like it's out of fuel, ??
This is how fuel pumps act. One day they work and the next they don't. Check the fuel pump. Even a weak pump pressure will fail to start the car. Unless you were in an accident a fuel cut-off switch won't activate.
Also: Start by checking if it's a fuel or spark problem. Take a plug wire off and turn motor over.If there is fire, Take the hose going from the air cleaner to the throttle body off and spray a small amount of carb. cleaner in.If it's a fuel prob.,check the fuel pump relay (under the hood in a black box) (swap the relay out with another relay in the box ) If the relay is o.k., it's probably the fuel pump. If it's a spark prob., start with the coil and wires going to the coil.

air lock ,slacken injector pipes ,crank engine and as fuel starts to appear tighten pipes as fuel appears .make sure you prime the injector pump first .great workhorses these motors

If there is no free play on the clutch pedal that mean the clutch disc have gone ,or adjust the clutch pedal.

IVE JUST PUT A NEW IGNITION ON MY 1996 VAUXHALL ASTRA DIESEL VAN,NOW WHEN I TURN THE IGNITIN IT STARTS AND THEN CUTS STRAIGHT OUT. HOW DO I CURE THIS?

clean the throttle body,or you might have a start problem with the tps sensor,clean throttle body first then check.
