1995 k1500 suburban. chevy 350 engine The guy I want to buy this truck from says his mechanic told him there is a small hole in the bottom of the engine, but I can't seem to find anything to prove this. No leaks and it sounds fine. I know the manifold gasket needs to be replaced but thats all I have found so far... Any idea what he might have meant?

Nothing goes in that hole. If coolant is leaking from that hole, it means the shaft seal on the water pump is bad. The only fix is to change the water pump.

replace the gasket but I would take it to a shop if you are not familiar with that engine the injection system will have to come out and it is delicate.
