2006 GMC Envoy and the A/C fan wont work in number 5 position
I have a 2006 GMC Envoy and the fan that blowes out the hot and cold air inside the car wont work in the number 5 position, but works fine on 1 thru 4. How can i fix this problem.

I would check the freon in the system. Their are kits avail. at parts shops such as Advance etc. Follow the directions and "viola" things will be cool.
It's an ongoing problem with Envoy. I had the same problem on the drivers side not getting cold air. It cost me $600. They said it was a door inside the dash that diverts the cold air and the hot air depending on what you want. Worked good for a year, and now the passenger side gets cold air and not hot. Another $600 going out the door. The repair shop said that sometimes they can adjust it, but most of the time they have to replace it. Good Luck
the resister block needs changing... oddly enough i'm unsure of what fan you are saying is not working.... if it's the front.. the resister block is located on the duct work under the dash for the air... near the fan... you will see a connector going into the side of the duct work. two screws and the block comes out... should be fairly obvious for the rear one but it will be near the fan.
