They will run alongside of the engine block. They are about the size of a half dollar coin. in most cases you will need to remove the exhaust manifold to even see them. Not to difficult to replace. you tap them out at an angle then pull them out when you can grip them with pliers. When you install them you need to tap them back in as straight as possible.

SOURCE: FILLING UP THE FREON IN MY 2000 NISSAN MAXIMA SE

2000 maxima is filled with R134, not freon. You don't need retro fit kit. Get couple of cans of R134 and pump it into the low side valve /small fiting, while A/C compressor is engaged. If your compressor is not coming on, jump the low side pressure switch to make the compressor come on and than the R134 will get sucked in to your system through the low side line. The proper way to do this is to put a/c system under vaccum for 15 minutes at least and watch for leak/gauges coming/loosing vaccum. Than pump R134 into the HIGH side valve with engine OFF.

SOURCE: 2005 Nissan Maxima SE Fog light replacement

jorgeva: on the driver's side to gain access, you must remove the air cleaner assembly. At that point, you can see the back of the light which has a plastic cap. Rotate this "counter clockwise" and you can pull it back from the back of the lamp housing. From there you will see how the bulb it self is plugged in, which is obvious. Unplug it. There is a "spring "like latch retainer to hold the bulb in place. Unlatch it, remove the bulb and install the new bulb.
CAUTION!!!!!!! DO NOT TOUCH THE GLASS AREA OF THE NEW BULB! Only handle the rear section. Reassemble in the reverse order.
The right side will require the removal of the windshield washer tank.
I trust this will have answered your question. If you would, let me or FIXYA know if I have solved your problem......

SOURCE: no sparks from spark plugs in the 97 nissan maxima wont start up

This car has seporate coil packs for each cylinder, have you tried swapping the front bad one with a good one to see if they switch ?
The engine you just put in may have come with some blown coils.
Hope this helps

Where are the spark plugs on a 1995 maxima

Spark plugs are located under the ignition coil for each cylinder. Each coil has to be removed to gain access to the spark plug for that cylinder.

My 95 nissan maxima se is not firing on its number 4 cylinder. How dangerous is this to drive until it can be fixed. I understand it could be spark plugs, and or coil. Anything else that might cause this...

If your car has a Power Transistor Unit like my 90 300ZX had, that could do it too, but it's more likely to be a coil or spark plug. You should not drive the car until this is solved. Having a missing cylinder throws the engine drastically out of balance and can cause severe damage.
