I have a 96 Ford explorer sport. the dashlights

I have a 96 Ford explorer sport. the dashlights are out and so are my taillights. They flicker on and off so whenever they're out my taillights go out. The headlights work and so does the dimmer switch. I checked all the fuses and they were all good. Any ideas?

SOURCE: headlights do not work on 96 camaro.

by looking at the manual for my 97 Camaro and if you say that the switch is good then that helps narrow it down a lot, because i found a circuit breaker... not a fuse!...located inside the headlamp switch itself. good luck and let me know if you find it... c.b's. are usually resetable please let me know if you fix it because i have the same car and it might go out on me someday..thanks man! also you can see if your getting voltage on the yellow wire when the switch is in the "head" position..if its not there, then its almost a guaranty that its the c.b.

WHAT CAUSES THE TAIL LIGHTS AND DASHLIGHTS TO GO OUT ON 1983 TOYOTA TRUCK?

GOOD ADVISE--I ALSO LEARNED THAT THERE MAY BE FUSES IN UNDER THE HOOD ALSO. FOUND OUT TODAY THAT IF THE DOME LIGHT DON'T WORK THEN IT'S FUSE COULD BE BLOWN AND HINDER THE CIRCUIT TOO. I'M NOT GOOD ON VOLTAGE READING , BUT DO HAVE A TEST LIGHT. IF NO FIRE AT THE COMMON TAIL LIGT-DASH LIGHT FUSE , THEN THAT MIGHT NARROW IT DOWN. I HAD THE SAME TROUBLE IN MY 1990 FORD XLT LARIAT AND WAS BLOWING THE TAILLIGHT FUSE. IT WAS A SHORT IN THE EXTERNAL TRAILER KIT HARNESS WHICH CAUSED FUSES TO BLOW REGUARLY. WHERE IS RELAY FOR TAILIGHTS AND OTHER FUSES UNDER THE HOOD??

Taillights only turn on with the headlights, but don't turn on for braking or signals. I've checked all the fuse and relays and they are fine. Any Suggestions?

Those lights are called running lights. Have you tried new bulbs or test the wires coming into the socket for power.

Some fords have fuses for taillights, check there too.

How to i get to the rear turn signal bulb to replace it? This is for a 2004 Ford Sport Trac.

I own a 2004 sport trac and replaced the taillights with aftermarket ones and its really easy... first, let your tailgate down. you should see two little rubber peices that you cant see with the gate up. pull this rubber peices out to get to the screws behind them. Unscrew them, and pull your taillight assembly out.

How do I remove the right tail light?

open your rear door, remove the covering gently...you may need strong fingers if it's carpet and plastic. then if you see 3 or more long lugs with blacks nuts or washers on them, then loosen those.
If you see the inside of the taillight assembly but no lugs, then check the outside for special shiny screws called Torx type...if u see these then u would need the Torx tool for them.

Ford explorer and ford explorer sport trac same exterior parts?

Above is correct, some body panels are interchangeable some aren't...Headlights, front fenders, hood yes. Doors unsure, bed and back no (obviously). The underpinnings (suspension) are similar, but not exact...and depending on the year, the Explorer went to independent rear suspension, while the sport trac kept the solid axle differential.
