  • fleesa Mar 04, 2009

the radio/cd player doesn't have the same number of wires as the radio/cassette player. I don't know which wire hooks up to which other one

if its original equipment your good. if not you may need some wire adapters. they sell them at your local car audio or auto parts.

If your installing a stock radio/cd player from another Dodge the wiring plug is the same and will fit.If your installing a aftermarket radio/cd player(JVC,Pioneer, etc)you will need to buy a adapter plug that wires up to the radio and is a direct fit to your factory wire harness,so your not cutting your wires. When you buy the adapter plug it comes with a wire diagram of which wire is what.Your aftermarket radio should have a diagram also, either on it or in the manual.Hope this helps you.

Your am/fm cass. must be 2 plugs with 7-pins inside each and your cd player you want to install has 2 plugs with 22-pins in one and 10-pins in the other.Unfortunately the cd player willnot work. You will have to get the same pin count in the plugs in order to fit. They do make a factory am/fm/cass/cd

and a am/fm/cd to fit your van.

How do I obtain an 02 dodge caravan radio code?

Yes, go to the dealer for a a ECU update with the radio's data. If you had gotten an older radio, cassette,cd player it wouldn't require reprogramming. Best solution is to buy a new unit from Crutchfield on-line and don't forget the wiring harness and faceplate adapters. Some allowing steering wheel control and IPhone/IPad connection.

WIRING CHANGE FOR 2002 DODGE CARAVAN

Your best bet on that one is to go to a place that sells car audio systems or even some autoparts retailers have them, and get the proper adapter harness already made up. A few more dollars but, a whole lot less headaches.

Led lights do not work on radio/cd player. no station/time displ

Work in car audio for a living. dodge caravan's are notorious for having there cd player's **** out. if the led display is out the built in reducers for the display power supply are more then likely shot. head to a junk yard and pull one out if you want to keep it stock :)
can prob get it from them for about 20 buck's and it will plug right in were the old one did. or you can go after market head unit (125-900$ at any electronic's store) buy a harness (about 18$) and a mounting kit (25$) for the easyist install :)
hope this helped

How can I replace the stereo of a 2002 dodge caravan with 2001

The whole front plastic cover over the stereo and heater controls is screwed in with two screws at the bottom of the cover, just above the cupholders. Take out those two screws and then pop off the cover, which is held in place by clips up the sides and at the top. There are four bolt/screws that hold the radio/cassette/cd (whichever you have) in place. Unscrew them and replace the stereo. Plugs SHOULD fit, and if they do just replug it and you're good to go. If the plugs DON'T match up, get a wiring harness from Best Buy or Walmart.
But be warned! Just because the stereos look VERY similar and fit very nicely into the other spot in the dash, they may NOT have matching wiring plugs. I just put a 2003 Neon CD player into my 2002 Caravan, and the harnesses didn't match up and neither did the antenna.
Good luck!

Jbl radio in toyota sequoia

If I unplug all the wires from the CD player won't the security system lock up my stereo system? Which means that I have to go to a dealer to get the code from them.

Can I install a a 2007 Camry CD/Radio unit in my 2002 Camry?

The 2002 and the 2007 radio connections are markedly different. Remember that the 2007's are "satellite ready"; this changes the back side wiring configurations dramitically.
