My mom has a 2013 Kia Rio Car starts up fine but while you’re driving at a nowhere the car starts up fine but while you’re driving The car will Shut off but all the power still on when you turn the car completely off and wait for a little bit turn it back on the car will start but the RPM gauge won’t work you have to turn the car off again wait for a little bit start Pumping on the Excelerator while turning on the car in the RPM gauge works then it shows a check engine light but the car works fine After you park the car for a few hours turn the car back on the check engine light is off can anybody help me with this problem
This exact thing is happening to me. Mechanics cant figure out whats wrong with it. What was the problem with yours?
did you ever figure this out. mine is doing this exact thing
Requires reading OBD-II (On Board Diagnostic) codes, interpreting codes and effecting a troubleshooting plan based on data provided. Codes are a symptom, not a diagnosis. My guess is a system communications failure which can be caused by any of a number of issues.

Check the fuel system. Cheap first....fuel filter. Then the fuel pump. The engine does actually turn over, but it just won't start...correct?
SOURCE: 2002 Kia Rio runs rough when idling
well spend some change and have a simple tune-up. Plugs and filters and readjust the idle.

Atuomatic trans sliping , or manual trans clutch sliping should not cause stall. sounds more like fuel or ignition problem.
I am thinking that one of the " upgraded items " ?? is not much of an upgrade.
Be carefull of kia's , The timing belts are famous for breaking and destroying the engine even before the recomended replacement mielage.. If it breaks , they don't warantee it because you never had the belt adjusted. Funny , they recomend adjustments but not part of the scheduled maintainance.
when your car starts geting close to 80,000 Km's / 50,000 miles have the belt done , but I wouldn't have it done at a dealership. It's a 1/2 hr job that a dealership might charge 2 hours for. I avoid dealerships ( for any make of car ) at all costs , unless they are doing free warantee or recall work. ( I take that back , I have had good experiances with Honda dealerships )

maybe your fuel pump stop working or a blown fuse for the fuel pump or ignition coil. First checked for blown fuses
SOURCE: 04 kia rio , engine made noise than stopped ,now wont turn over.
That's what happened to mine when the timing chain broke.. my 04 cinco had about 80k miles on it at this point. Unfortunately I warped the valves when it happened so it cost a small fortune to fix :(
