1999 Dodge Grand Caravan horn and Cruise control

The horn and cruise control no longer work on a 1999 Dodge Grand Caravan. Is this fixable?

I recently had the same issue, but my airbag warning lights also turned on. If this is the case, it might be the clockspring. There is a recall on clocksprings for Caravans 1998 - 2000 I believe. I got it replaced for free in the dealership. Enter your VIN in this site and it will tell you if you are covered in the free replacement warranty.

MRfIXiTsON IS MORE LIKELYcorrect about this problem. I have the same problem right now with out van so I typed in the VIN and there it was. So I got to get this van in the shop to get it fix.

This might be a shot in the dark,the bcm [ bodt control module ] this controls most interior electronics. i read it some were. hope this helps.

On the steer wheel, the cruise and horn does not work. fuse, or wiring issue?
When I owned my 1999 Grand Caravan the "clock spring" went out and I lost my cruise control ( don't remember if the horn quit too). There was a recall on it and the dealer changed if for free and it cleared up the problem. The clock sping is in the steering coulmn under the steering wheel and it's what keeps connections for steering wheel controls.

At first guess I'd say you have a bad "clock spring", it's inside the steering column and it feeds the electrical signals up to the controls in the steering wheel.
Your air bags won't work, your horn, or your cruise control. Anything that's in the steering wheel.
It will have to be replaced.
You can check with Dodge but I think there was a recall on them but I also think there is a time and mileage contraint.

Cruise control and horn does not work
Test and replace the clockspring. Everything you mentioned runs through it first before splitting off different paths to thier own components. It is behind the steering wheel. Remember to disconnect the battery first before making any repairs.

The cruise has no dedicated fuse, you will most likely be looking to replace the clockspring rotating contact located under the steering wheel which connects the switches in the steering wheel (horn, cruise and air-bag) to the rest of the electrical system.
