The transmission is measured by removing the speed sensor. there are markings on the speed sensor, for high and low fluid. I use the GM syncromesh fluid as specified in the owners documentation. Please clean the area around the speed sensor BEFORE you remove it so nothing drops into the transmission. I spray it with a cleaner then wipe it down. It uses a 10 MM bolt. You do not need to remove the bolt, only loosen it enough to pivot the retainer. Wiggle the sensor gently and be very gentle to remove and reinstall it as there is an "O" ring that can easily get destroyed if you are not careful. I have found that most things on Fieros are fragile and need patience.

I has isuzu 2009.this car occour to "check tran"

First check the fluid, if you have a trans dip stick. Then take it to a shop and have the codes read. Eventually the trans will die if you keep driving it and not have it checked.

How do I check trans fluid on a 06 750li?I have a dip stick but it doesn't say on dip stick; if I check It with car in neutral or park while engine is running,or do I check it with engine off.

most vehicle auto trans are checked while the engine is running and trans is warmed up to normal operating temp. except hondas which are checked with engine off. pull out the dipstick and the fluid level should be somewhere in between the hash marks. if its low just top off a quarter quart at a time and watch the fluid residue on hash mark on the end of dipstick.

Locate the dipstick tube to check the trans oil and remove the dip stick and put the oil down the tube. Replace the dip stick and check the level when you think you have enough in the tranny. Hope this helps.

I have a 1992 mazda 626 5 speed manual and the clutch is stuck down what do i check

You will need to check the transmission fluid. There is a dip stick for the trans just under your breather box on the driver side of the car. Start your car and let it warm up before checking the trans fluid. It should show on the stick. It should be the upper mark on the stick. If it is touching it then the fluid is ok and if not you will need to add some fluid.

Does the rodeo have a automatic transmission dip stick? My son has a rodeo and he tells me he has to climb under the truck to check the trans fluid. I've only had to do this on a manual...

No dipstick, no fill tube. There is a fill and drain plug on bottom of transmission, both face down, the fill is recessed higher. Not on the side as with manual trns you have seen. Take a short low speed drive to warm fluid as it should be "measured" in it's warm expanded state. Turkey baster or equivalent( old gear oil bottle) to squeeze fluid into hole until runs out. While running. Joy. Might as well use lucas brand trans fluid rejuvenator it comes in a squeeze bottle you can fashion a hose to.Cut nozzle a little smaller than hose and squeeze hose through from inside nozzle.

Cant find where to add trans fluid on 97 jetta 5 speed

A standard 5 speed does not have a dip-stick for the trans. You have to get it from underneath the car. There will be 2 fairly large plugs, one on the bottom of the trans and one about 1/4 of the way up the side. The bottom one is to drain it, the top one is to check/fill it. You remove the plug with a 1/2 inch drive rachet(no socket) The fluid should be able to be felt or maybe run out a little when you stick your finger into the hole. Make sure you use what ever the manufactorer recomends for fluid. Some standards use 90w gear oil, some use ATF fluid. If you use the wrong type, you can mess up your trans.

If your thinking that your needing fluid because the trans is slipping, you are wrong, you need to replace your clutch.

Cant find transmission dip stick 1999 isuzu tropper

The 4L30E transmission is a "sealed" unit and as such does not have a dipstick. The only way to check your fluid level is to use the "higher" of the two drain holes on the bottom of the pan. You *must* do this while the engine is hot and running, otherwise all the fluid will have drained to the pan and will come out of the top hole all over you. When hot, the fluid should come up to the top hole. Stick a finger in, if you can't feel fluid, use a syphon or hand pump to shoot some up into it. I would strongly suggest dropping the pan and replacing the filter if you have over 100k miles. DO NOT have this trans flushed at a shop as the small galleries are prone to jamming with the gunk the flush will free up, and will cause the trans to fail.
