Subaru impreza uk model wrx stalls and low idle, hesition

Bought a subaru impreza couple of days ago, the problems it has are an intermittent stalls at low speed (below 50mph) low idle when it gets warm, if you try to start the car when it is warm it will not tick over. the hesitation is at 0.5bar. i am really stuck could someone reply asap

    thanks mate, done that but still no luck.. wer thinking its the maf (mass airflow sersor) anyone else think it could be? its a sensor of some sort i think as it only does it when the car is warm and at low speed

Try adjusting the throttle cable, its a case of loosening a nut, pulling the cable through a bit more and then tightening it back up, you find it on the right hand side of the engine block close to the exhaust manifold.

If the noise sounds like a weeeeeee that increases in pitch as the RPMs increase, and you haven't heard this sound before the 'problem', suspect the alternator...
