Honda crv 04' key won't turn over & I'm stranded
If your battery isnt dead (try boosting it) then check to make sure the car is in park all the way and try again if nothing happens you need a new starter. alot of people dont put the shifter all the way back to park and that keeps it from starting.
Tried it, still not starting. I'm wondering if it is the tumbler?
I thought the key turned but the engine didnt start. if its the key wont turn try jiggling back and forth, key is probably worn out. try a spare key. also if the stering wheel is locked it can keep the key from turning. try to turn stering both ways while turning key.
It worked, thank you so much

Try this procedure:
Check the battery like this:
Turn on the headlights, then try to start the car.
If the headlights do not dim or go out, then the battery is likely ok.
Check that the battery cable plus post, goes to the starter, Minus post to a good ground, like the engine.
If wiring is ok, then look at the starter solenoid for a good connection, and proper voltage at the starter.
Problem is most likely the Solenoid's bendix gear or starting relay, Have someone bang on the starter while you try to start the car. This usually works by dislodging the bendix gear..
Hope this helps.

if the clicking sound is coming from the engine compartment, it is the starter solenoid. let her try it a couple of times. sometimes it would connect and start the car. then she can bring it home.

Its a 5 Watt light bulb. Just pull it out and take it to the store with you. Just remove the license plate to get to it.

It's not a easy job but I'm pretty sure you had one of those problems where the idle surges if this is the case take out the air intake tube that leads to the throttle body, get a can of carburetor fluid and spray around the throttle body. You will need someone to start the car and hold the gas peddle to 2500 rpm while you do this the car will shut of when you do this, restart the car and repeat the process until half of the can is used up. Now check your antifreeze level fill if needed and reset you check engine light. Now you can take the idle air back and get your money.

Hi
The judder could be many things, check the power steering fluid and power steering belt.
Also on the gearbox, check the fluid. this could be the slave cylinder on it's way out or it may just need bleeding through.
Hope this helps
