Most likely it is the bulb behind the airbag indicator. If it was a bad sensor, it would throw a code on you.

SOURCE: airbag light stays on

If it is not the fuse then it is the airbag sensor itself, I am sorry to say but requires you take it to an airbag specialist due to the explosives contained within the steering wheel. This will be costly and may return in the future it did in the 1 I imported and had to fix 3 times in 4 years after the first fix. If this issue is not corrected and you are in a crash it will not deploy as the airbag sensor is faulty, this is why this light appears to begin with. Hope this helps.

The sensor is located in the padding of the seat, you have two wires for seat belt and two wires to the sensor jumping the sensor to bypass the switch is dangrous so will give you a site that can fix it even if dealers can't. Go here and give em a call. http://www.airbagsolutions.com/contact.aspx they are the ones that build all the air bag systems and rebuild the units.

SOURCE: Passenger airbag light is on,

Don't know what year model car you have. Some year models have a switch you can turn the passenger air bag off. Check you owners manual in the dash/controls section and the air bag section

Why is the passenger airbag light on?

Could be a problem with the sensor in the seat. The system thinks someone is sitting in the seat and the seat belt is not fastened.

The airbag light stays lite on my 2006 express van

Hey, my mate had the same problem, just in a Mini, he went to a garage and they told him the sensor in the passenger seat was broken, and the entire seat needed to be changed, costing around 2.250$. He searched a little around and found an airbag emulator, that gets your system to think someone is always seated. In case of an accident the airbag will ALWAYS go off, on both driver and passenger seat. He found it on amazon: http://www.amazon.com/gp/aag/main/ref=olp_merch_name_1?ie=UTF8&asin=B00E3C1IPW&isAmazonFulfilled=0&seller=A3VPDTQ49IXC7U - it is a quick fix, but a solid one.

Could setting a heavy box on passenger seat toyota tacoma cause airbag icon light to stay on

sounds like the sensor in the seat may have stuck on or the control module threw a code because it was sensing weight in the seat but the seat buckle was not latched...try clearing the code and see if it comes back..if it does check for seat sensor for proper function

Disable airbag airbagmodulhave a 2006 lincoln towncar, passenger seat has been removed, airbag light now stays on,how do i bypass the seat occupancy sensor

Its a weight sensitive sensor, so you would probably have to come up with some sort of resistor. I doubt you can bypass it.

I have a 2005 ford crown victoria P71 ( interceptor). It has cruise but dosent work. I just bought it from the county. It was a active patrol car that was up for replacement (so its in excellent mechanical...

I also have that same vehicle but, I'm sorry to say it does not have cruise. I also have a wiring issue. I replaced the interior (seats, carpet, door panels, and a few dash moldings) with duel power seats, however I through out the old seats before I noted the "wiring colors" for the passenger seat 'seatbelt' and 'airbag' sensor connections. The new seats came out of a 2003 crown vic (not a p71) and had totally different connections under the passenger seat. My '05 p71 did not even have the wires there for a power passenger seat, so I had to replace and wire them in from the harness that I removed from donor car. That actually wasn't TOO bad, and the seats work fine, but I don't know which wires go together for the seatbelt and airbag sensors, as the old wire 'colors' under the seat do not match the 'colors' on the connectors under the new power passenger seat. If you could tell me the colors of the wires to your original seat (passenger), for the seatbelt and airbag plugs you would be a great help in solving my issue with the "airbag" and "seatbelt" light that stays lit on the dash. If I can help with your problem in some way, even though my car does not have cruise, e-mail me and let me know how ([email protected]) .

Air bag lght came on after my husband pushed the passenger side seat back, it stays on after a few seconds of flashing

Hi,

If you are certain this light only illuminated after your husband moved the seat, then he may have disturbed a wiring loom, or a crash sensor beneath the seat.

- Disconnect the NEG (-) battery lead and wait for 5mins (this will disable the Airbag circuit & reset the computer).
- Look under the seat for any wiring looms - ensure the connectors are tight and secure
- Also look under the carpet, for a crash sensor (small square box) and if found, ensure the wire connections are tight and secure.
- Once you are happy everything is ok, reconnect the battery lead.

If the Airbag light comes back on after a few drive cycles, then you will need to have codes read from your vehicle's computer (your local dealership can do this for you) which takes about 15mins.

The fault codes will identify which component/s within the Airbag circuit is causing the issue.

Good luck.....

Blower stays on when car is turned off won't stop running until I disconnect the battery cable, tried the blower fuse that didn't work. 1995 olds auroa

If you pulled the 10 amp fuse in the I/P fuse block and the blower still worked than the the blower motor module is most likely the problem. It is fed by a 30 amp fus4e in the fuse block under the rear seat. That fuse is always hot and always supply power to the blower motor module. If you pull that fuse and the blower stops than it's pretty likely the blower module is the problem.

The blower module is located near the blower motor. It is usually held in place with 2 screws and will have four or five wires at the connector.
