Would that cause all of these other problems as well ? My 17 yr old son is driving it and called me with this news. It is raining here and I just asked him if he went through any puddles and he said yes he did.

SOURCE: drove through a puddle, power steering out and temp gauge on high, battery light on

I've seen it happen many times on the older Caravans, if you hit a really deep puddle, the splash can knock the accessory drive belt off of its pulleys. You can just gently pry the belt back on, consult a service manual for detailed installation directions.

Battery Light and Temperature Gauge

I would be looking at the drive belt missing or so bad that it has to be replaced . The battery light is from the alternator not charging --- the increase in temperature is from the water pump not working and the hard steering is from the power steering pump not working. All indications that the drive belt is missing or shot.

Bmw 325ci power steering/battery light and temperature gauge

Hi ,
It sounds like you lost the belt that runs the power steering pump and the water pump and the alternator. Look under the hood at that belt.

Check your belt sounds like your belt broke. Battery light comes on if your charging system isn't charging to.check to make sure you are charging 13.5v to 14.5 volts.

A belt which is attached to a fan near the front of the 1994 Jeep Cherokee Country, right above the headlights under the hood, has broke. When the belt snapped I noticed that it became difficult to turn...

Not sure what engine you have, but my guess is it's a serpentine style belt that drives everything, including your water pump and power steering, and alternator as well as AC, all in one, that has broke. NO !! do not run the engine at all with that off, or you will ruin it, if damage hasn't been done already. Keep fingers crossed, and get that new belt on before you even put the key in the ignition.
