Can the crankshaft position sensor on a 2006 chrysler 300 3.5L prevent the crankshaft from fully rotating?

Why are you asking that question?

You know if the timing belt, crank & cam gears are not set correctly,
that the valves will hit the pistons & the motor won't turn

I can't get the rear rotor off my chrysler 300. need to know how to back off the parking brake?

You need to unbolt the caliper, then you have to lever it off the rotor, unhook or slacken off the e brake cable and push the lever to its rest position. when the caliper is free of the rotor take out the pads and you have to wind the piston back in, there are special tools but if the caliper is not part seized you can turn it 1/4 of a turn with the side of a screwdrivver in the slots in the piston edge, be carefull not to disturb the rubber boot.

Advice on purchasing a 2005 Chrysler 300 Limited with 98000 miles

Hello scottym88...The chrysler 300 engine is the weak point on this vehicle, the 2.7 litre was a major headache for owners, dealers and Chrysler...the problem was due to engine sludge, poor oil circulation, poor crankcase ventilation, faulty timing chain tensioners...etc...From 1998-2004 the Chrysler 2.7L was prone to Oil Sludge often caused by internal coolant leakage that has to do with the design of the Water Pump that allows coolant to enter the Engine over time and causes oil sludge...result..ENGINE FAILURE. For 2005, changes included improvements to the PCV system and improved oil circulation, to even later increasing oil capacity by an extra quart in an attempt to make the engine more reliable... Unfortunately, even with all of these modifications premature engine failure is common. I've seen this first hand...and the really sad part is CHRYSLER knows...yet refuses to cover prematurely failed engines even when under its own 3 Year / 36,000 mile warranty while blaming consumers for these problems.
If you want to research this further, check out the consumer complaints on this vehicle and/or the 2.7 litre engine. I have been a MOPAR enthusiast all my life, and in my opinion this was the worst engine that chrysler ever released to the public.
Good luck...i hope this helps answer your question..please rate me a fixya.
