Why do you want to buy something like that on ebay, go to the parts store and get one you know will work.

There is nothing wrong with buying parts on ebay. If you don't mind the wait, in my experience you will save. Just make sure it is the right on for your truck, but i think most oil sending units for G.M. are pretty much the same, especially the older ones. If you are unsure message the seller, I am sure they will be glad to help. You don't have to drain, just unplug it then screw it off, when reinstalling it I would put some Teflon tape on the threads to prevent any leaks

Where is the oil pressure sensor lacted on a 1996 s10 2.2 Pickup

How much below 30 is it dropping? Oil pressure when in DRIVE at idle on a hot engine, is NORMAL at around 18 to 20 Psi. The warning lamp does not come on until around 7 Psi.

With that said, the oil pressure switch (for the light) is located on the lower left front of the engine. The fuel pump oil pressure switch and sender (for the gauge and fuel pump operation) is on the lower right front of the engine.

84 chevy s10 2.8L

if your pressure is too low this fix is quite expensive and not worth for older cars, so the first thing you should try to keep it running is to use THICKER OIL (W20-50 or such), + oil stabilizier (any good oil additive). I tried it in my Jeep,- helped right away.. Good luck

My 84 blazer wont shift

Your 84 wiring harness is for the TCC ( transmission converter control) system.
On the left side of the carburetor (driver side) you should have 2 cables, one for the accelerator and the 2nd for the TV (throttle valve) control. You will need to adjust the cable for correct shift points. Under normal circumstances you will have 7 to 10 mm's extending beyond the cable adjuster block.
Should take care of the issue for you.
Let me know.

84 s10 oil pressure

Yes that switch will work. So will a lot of other parts and gaskets. You have to make sure the engine size is the same. Parts are compatible with the same engine size. Have a drain pan and new oil ready in case the oil does come flowing out.
Please remember to rate this solution.

Help have no spark

I had the same problem with 1991 s10 blazer.
check the oil pump pressure switch and current to the switch.
The computer will not allow the spark plugs to fire if the oil pressure switch is not sending a signal to the computer that the oil is flowing.
My problem was a short in the wiring that was not sending enough current to the oil pressure switch.
I had to crank the starter three or four times at 5 second intervals until the current was suffient to operate the oil pressure switch.
The switch is a round cylinder device located on th drives side of the engine near the oil filter.
Good luck!!
