2005 Chrysler Gr. Voyager, EDZ 2,4L DOHC engine. It has a very rough idling when in gear (drive or reverse), and sometimes it stops when waiting for green light. Idling is OK when in neutral. Also, when accelerating at low RPM (below 1800 RPM) in OD it fails . Has to force a down-shift with 3-position.
My engine doesn't seem to have an idle air control valve. I have a 2005 Grand caravan 3.8L Automatic. please help me find out the reason that I'm getting bad gas mileage and a rough idle in gear.
I'm sure your check engine light is on try....

have you had the vehicle speed control reprogrammed if not that could be your problem
SOURCE: 02 Neon won't shift out of second gear in Drive
Sounds like the valve body is loose, warped or blown

I have fixed it! There was a rupture in a small rubber part connecting the vacuum line (to speed controller etc.) with the intake manifold. I replaced it with two pieces of fuel hose and a couple of hose clamps. The original part seems to be too soft / weak.
