On starting the engine the engine warning light stays on

Pressing the accelerator has no effect, no accelaration and car only does a max of 30mph even with accelerator pedal flat on the floor. This has happened 3 times in a few weeks, the last twice within the past 3 days. Each time the problem has resolved after starting the engine up and turning off 4 or 5 times and revving the engine hard once. In between the car runs really well with no problems.

Traction warning light comes on at 30mph and puts it in safe/limp mode - can't get faster but also doesn't slow down unless I press the break (even when not touching the accelerator)

2002 Chevrolet Blazer won't accelerate past 30mph

A flashing check engine light means the engine is misfiring. This flashing light will eventually set a code in the low 300's. When you get the code it will tell you which cylinder. If you get a straight 300 it means multiple misfires. Right now if the light is only flashing, check the secondary ignition for loss of integrity. It's more than likely there. I hope this helps.

Nissan pathfinder cutting out

I read somewhere that the problem was related to the sensor in the brake pedal, when it goes bad it confuses the computer, no input to indicate that the brake was applied, so it basically goes into limp mode, press the accelerator all the way to the floor and you get only gradual acceleration.
