Doors Locking Automatically _ 2006 Acura TL

Got car back from bodyshop and my doors are locking automatically - had to call service 2x bc car was locked while running. As soon as I unlock the car --- It seems to lock 5 seconds later - I get in close the door and the thing locks. Autobody shop says all is in working order and dealership says I have a setting wrong - but both as we know are wrong - any ideas ?

SOURCE: 2001 Hyundai Elantra door locking problem

there is a short or a signal from the un-locking switch that is triggering your locks.

you have a switch manually to lock and un-lock your doors, the unlocking circuit is making contact.

you can try playing with your switch to un-short the switch or open it up ang check it.

SOURCE: Door locks don't work

Disassemble the paneling on left side ,under the steering wheel. Remove all screws and pull out the panel until you can you can reach behind it to remove the two Black Relays, on the side closest to Steering wheel. Remove the Relay covers, Clean the contacts with a 1/8 fine strip of 600 wet/dry sand paper. Only place the paper between the contacts, and pull out while holding slight pressure on the relay Armature. Turn over the sandpaper and repeat once again. Very gently press the TOP resting contact pad closer to the armature, to lessen the gap between the contact points, so the armature doesn't have to travel as far to reach the closed contact position. Repeat the above with the other2nd Relay. Replace the covers, reinstall the relays And test the Door locks prior to buttoning up the paneling. Note, a pair of long needle nosed pliers will help in removing the relays. Just Grip the relay and rock in Forward and Backward as you apply upward pressure.

How do we disable the central locking of doors in a 2006 Ford Transit van

If the system can be programmed to not lock it will be in the owners manual. If you don't have one go here and download one from Ford, it is free. I think it is a bad idea to disable this due to a family member being car jacked because the passenger's doors where unlocked.

Sliding doors will not unlock or lock with remote or inside buttons. does not automatically lock with other doors when 15 mph is reached. both doors do open and shut when already unlocked using remote.

On each door there is a connection that senses when the door is closed. If this sensor is dirty, then it will impact the locking of the door. You should also inspect your fuse panel for blown fuses

2006 Acura TL, When I warm up the car, key in ignition, running, If I get out of the car and close the drivers door, all the doors lock. I have been leaving the window down part way so I can unlock it....

This could be a problem with the transmission range selector switch or the BCM/ECM. One of these is sending or getting a signal that the car is in drive, thus locking the doors. this can be checked with a hand held compter at a shop. most times it is free. call around.

2007 Honda Accord + automatically locking doors at 15mph

Yes, I have a thought:  Change Honda service technician, then change Honda Service Center.   Not only does your car have this feature, my '06 Accord EX-L does as well.
I had a similar experience with my wife's Acura TL, and all it took to get it fixed was to speak with a different Service Advisor.  They took care of the problem immediately and apologized many times.
Hope this helps...
