Truck turns over fine but when you turn the key on the fuel pump doesnt prime.
A couple things could be wrong. Make sure the ground for the pump wiring is good. If the ground is good, take a test light and make sure you're getting power to the pump. If not, you'll have to check all the fuses and grounds related to the pump. If you do have a good ground and power going to it, the pump is dead.
Checked all wires, Ground is good. Pump is getting power only to the gas guage wire none of the other wires are getting power. Checked EVERY fuse and relay and they are all good. I even quickly hooked up the pump to the battery just to see if it even worked, and it works fine. The problem turned out to be the inerta switch on the passenger side under the glove box..... After all that, I hooked everthing back together, pushed the little red button and it started right up....... Talk about frustrating. Thanks for all your help though.

Sounds like the fuel pump is shorted.

I had this same issue. There is an inertia switch located below glove box. Mine went bad. Here is what I wrote to another person with the similar problem:
I have a 2005 Ranger Edge. I had the same problem. I did two things. First I replaced the fuel pump and it worked again for about 2 months. Then it stopped working again so I replaced the inertia switch with a new one from the Ford Dealership. It worked again for about a month. Than it stopped again, so I replaced the wiring that goes from the inertia switch to the main box on the bottom right passenger side. I also put the inertia switch inside the casing on the lower right so it couldn't be kicked. It has been working for 2 weeks now. I hope nothing else happens.
On another note, I had another electrical problem. My speedometer cluster stopped working and my mechanic found loose wires rubbing against metal on the inside. I think the electrical components on these Ford Rangers are just cheaply made. That is the only thing to check for you now. If it isn't the fuel pump or the inertia switch, just check all the wiring from fuel pump to inertia switch to make sure it is all done correctly. Also check all fuses for fuel pump/inertia switches.
Sometimes I say I and mean a mechanic, I am not a car expert, but would like to be.

remember the switch only gets power for 1 second when u turn the key on, the common problem is the ignition starter switch comes apart, it is located at top of the steering column near the bottom, drop the column down (2 nuts) and inspect the switch for separation.

try cleaning the connector that goes to the fuel pump, sometimes they corrode on inside. If that does not fix, test the wires feeding fuel pump with a multi meter until the condition shows itself again, if voltage drops to zero or very low then wiring problem, if voltage is unchanged with problem and fuel pump is not working and connectors are all clean, try replacement of fuel pump.
