All parts inside door are good , the window was frozen and went to open window and glass seperated from the track, what do I need to do to reattach glass to track? Goo, clips what holds glass to track

Did the plastic window retaining clips break? If so then I suggest to either fabricate metal clips, or buy them, and JB weld them to the glass. In 10 years this is the only way to defeat the plastic windoiw retaining clip problem.

Removing low beam bulb on 05 subaruoutback

Whether they become damaged in an accident or simply burn out over time, your Subaru Outback's headlights may eventually need to be replaced. Fortunately, once you've purchased the right replacement bulb for your model year, performing the repair yourself is relatively easy. These instructions only apply to Outback models made after 2000.

  1. Undo the clips on the air intake ducts using a screwdriver and remove the duct from the engine compartment (driver's side bulb removal only.)

  2. 2

Loosen the secured clip on the washer tank with a screwdriver and slide the tank horizontally to allow easier access to the headlight assembly (passenger's side bulb removal only.)

  3. 3

Turn the bulb cover counterclockwise and remove it from the assembly.

  4. 4

Disconnect the headlight electrical connector and undo the assembly retaining spring.

  5. 5

Pull the old bulb directly out of the socket and replace it with the new one. Press the retaining spring back into place and reattach the electrical connector.

  6. 6

Replace the bulb cover, and then turn on the engine. Test the new headlight to make sure it works before replacing the air intake duct or the washer tank and closing the hood.

I need to replace bulbs in my 1995 Vanden Plas, Can anyone send me the removal instructions for the instrument cluster?? It would be muich appreciated

1. Locate the bolts holding the bumper cover in place. Use a socket wrench to remove the bolts, allowing you to pull the cover down. Then take off the bolts securing the headlight assembly and pull out the entire assembly from the car.
2. Squeeze the retaining clip on the washer hose with a pair of pliers and pull it back, then pull the hose off. Next, unplug the electrical connector.
3.Unbolt the headlight washer motor with your socket wrench to gain access to the bulb. Pull the bulb straight out and take it to a Jaguar dealer or the local auto-parts shop to purchase a replacement bulb.
4.Reassemble the light assembly in the reverse order. Plug in the new bulb, re-bolt the washer motor, plug in the electrical cord and reattach the hose and retaining clip. Finally, re-bolt the headlight assembly and the bumper cover.
5.Turn the car on and switch the lights on to test the newly installed bulb.

Replacing the headlight bulbs on 2005 Ranger

Having just purchased a 2002 Ford Focus I found that the passenger side headlight had gone. Stumbled accross this thread and thought "looks like a pain".
Popped to Halfords and picked up a H1 bulb, went home and had a look under the bonnet.
Armed with just a screwdriver I managed to change the bulb within 10 mins. Flicked the headlight cover off using the screwdriver for a bit of leverage. Unpluged the headlight and flicked off the retaining clip. Removed the bulb.
Fitting was even easier - Put bulb in place, clip the retaining clip in place, plug in and replace cover.
Job done within 10 minutes with no prior experience of Fords.
Hope it helps
IMPORTANT!!! The retaining clip does NOT just flick off. Tried that and broke the plastic stop that holds the retainer clip and allows it to apply tension to the bulb! The retainer wire is held in place on the bottom by a screw and clip on the bottom and is locked into a plastic clip on top. To remove the wire, push the wire down and towards the passenger side of the car, it will dislodge and you can then lower it to remove the bulb. Once the bulb has been changed, you want to replace the wire the same way to protect the plastic clip. I don't know what I will do about the plastic clip now, the retaining wire has no tension and I'm afraid the bulb will not remain seated properly. However, knowing what I know now, I agree with the above answer: Done in 10 minutes without prior experience with Fords.
=== Just finished doing this. A small mirror and a flashlight make this job simple. It's very easy to do once you can see the top of the clip.
small mirror and flashlight are essential, look at the way the retaining wire seats before you unclip it. flat side of the bulb houseing sits at the bottom of the access hole. retaining wire clips bottom to top. I had a hard time with seating the new bulb and had to figure out the retaining wire clipped from bottom to top because I didn't look at it before I unclipped it. obviously fords designed this for ease of manufacter with very little regard to the average layman who would do the replacing.
