My bonneville gave a bad O2 sensor code, replaced and still get the same exact code. they told me that the O2 sensor after the catylatic converter is bad I replaced both. ran for about two days with no issues then the check engine light came on and the idle flucuates by about 100- 200 rpm, and it is a rough idle. thinking my MAP sensor is bad or the IAC is bad but the map is an expensive one so i am asking if there is anything i can do to 100% know thats the problem?

No the stalling is caused by something else like a dirty fuel filter of bad fuel pressure due to a worn fuel pump. With a bad O2 and MAF sensor the ECM will go a on open loop mose for those sensors causing bad performance and gas mileage. Replace the O2 sensor and try cleaning the MAF with MAF cleaner and check the wire harness, look for any damages to the wires and replace if needed. As for the stalling, try replacing the fuel filter first and we can go from there. Keep me posted, be glad to help get your car running 100% and save you some money the same time.

Unplug the torque converter. Mine used to stall when put in gear and then my dad unplugged the torque converter and I didn't have a problem with it after that.

Did you clear the trouble codes with the scanner? OBDII trouble codes must be cleared with a scanning tool. If the codes are not cleared the computer could be in the"limp home mode". Once the codes are cleared, drive the car for at least one day. If there is no improvement, scan the engine again for codes.
