Driver side brake light is not working. Changed bulb and still not working. Is it possible that it is the brake switch? How do I check and change the switch? Fuses have been checked, however I am not sure what fuses are what, but they all seem fine. Help please!!! Light is working when car locks. All other brake lights and tail lights are working!

I KNOW YOU HAVE AN ELECTRICAL SHORT.WAS AN ALARM INSTALLED OR ANY OTHER TYPE OF ACCESSORY? CHECK WITH DODGE TO FIND OUT ABOUT A RECALL.IF SOMETHING WAS INSTALLED, TAKE IT BACK THERE TO STRAIGHTEN IT OUT IF NOT HAVE A AUTO TECHNICIAN CHECK IT FOR YOU.

if the fuse was blown the stop lights on both sides would be inop, also if the stop light circuit were dead u would be unable to get the trans out of park, use a 12 volt test light and test the brake light switch at the top of the brake pedal, u can buy a test light from Autozone, kragen and others for about $5 US. If the system has power cjheck the bulb socket it may be defective, use the 12 volt test light while someone pushes the brake pedal. let me know what u find and i will give u further assistance as ness.

Front, remove the hold down clip, should be a 7mm or a 45 torx bit to get the slider pins out. If you are not sure what you are doing, please spend a little money and have a pro do it for your safety, and the safety of others around you.

there is a switch under the dash that when u press brake pedal it compresses switch and turns on light, look under dash and look at arm on break pedal towards the firewall, is switch broken and if not test both wires with probe while pressing pedal and both should be hot while pressing pedal if not bad switch

Check for a bad socket assembly. Look for burnt retainers inside the socket.
