only an inspection can reveal which, have your brakes checked

If the ESP light on a Mercedes Benz stays on, try holding the ESP button down for a few seconds. If holding ESP down for a few seconds doesn't reset the program, it's time to head to your local Mercedes dealership for a repair. More likely than not, there is some sort of error with the steering mechanism which causes the ESP light to remain on. You don't have to be alarmed but it's best to get it checked out as soon as you're able to. Most Mercedes have a four year, fifty thousand mile warranty which is, literally, bumper to bumper except for maintenance service. But if the ESP light stays on, this will almost certainly be covered.
If your car goes into a spin and the ESP light does not come on, it's time to see that repair shop too. Your Mercedes electronic stability program is not working properly if the car does not take control when a spin is detected.

I have a 1997 nissan minstral 4*4auto gear changes are normal for about 2klm and it then changes up about 500rpm and stays there

Sounds like something is telling the trans the wrong info. Look at the speed sensor, usually on the side/end of the trans, may look like a speedo cable unit.

Electronic Stability Program, or traction control. Might have a bad sensor at the wheels, or faulty traction control module.

As we tell everyone else who comes on here with warning lights: When there's a warning light on, that means a trouble code is stored in the computer. Don't ask us to guess what caused the light to go on when all you have to do is get the trouble codes read.

Flashing coil light and esp light stays on when i start my car.Does not happen until i touch the gas.Idles and starts ok and was ok until this morning. Up to now car has been great and the car still starts...

sorry but you could have a side light out but you will need to visit the dealer to clear the faults

2005 magnum esp/bas and engine light on

you need to see what the eng lite for if there is a trans codes usually the pcm wont let the speed go over 40 stays in safe mode untill you fix the problem or change the sensor,for the esp you need to chage the esp sensor and recalibrate by the dealer

Electronic Stability Program (ESP) system which is designed to help keep the car under control in unstable situations, like trying to slow down in a sharp turn, for instance. You can try resetting the system by holding the ESP button down for 15 seconds with the car running. That turns the system OFF until you hit a speed of about 15 MPH, then the system should turn on again. If the light comes on, the system is deactivated which may be a safety issue and you could get it diagnosed by a Suzuki specialist. There should be trouble codes and data stored in the control module when the light's on.
