It`s a 2000 buick regal ls. make sure when it gets hot eh fans are running. There is a coolant sensor just below the top radiator hose ON THE ENGINE. This sensor tells the fans when to go on when the engine gets hot and also serves as a low coolant sensor. unplug the sensor and replace it. use a open end or box wrench. if your quick you can replace it and only loose a few ounces of coolant. Hope this helps and God Bless :O)
the oil sending unit is probably faulty and needs replaced. Not an expensive part. google 98 buick regal oil sending unit (images) and you will see what and where sensor is located, and wether you want to tackle the job yourself.
i'd say you have a ground problem if you are burning up alternators... sorry if that don't help... i would have to see car to better appreciate problem.
1991 3.8 liter engines used a Mass Air Flow sensor in the intake tract (measures incoming air) instead of a MAP sensor. The MAF sensor is located on the engine just behind where intake hose is attached.
same
it is next to the egr valve in the middle close to the fire wall
