The little screw that holds the remote transmitter shell together won't come out, although I have the proper phillips head screwdriver for it. It's stuck, the phillips head just jumps out of the slots in the screw; so I can't open the shell to get at the battery to put in a new one. I will appreciate some help with this.

is the battery good? try unhooking the battery for ten minutes if it is and rehook and see if it does. this will reset the memory. the jump start may have been the problem hoping it was hooked correctly. if the battery tests bad replace it it could be the culprit. once you hook it up if the alarm sounds try disabling it with your remote then let us know what happens. hope this helps
