Haven't tried anything, but am experienced with cars just not this one.
MyAirbags clears all soft codes and hard codes that are stored after a vehicle was in an accident. Your handheld scanner can't do it all.
There are two types of codes:
1. Soft Codes
2. Hard Codes
1) Soft Codes:
Yes, most scanners can clear soft codes after the problem is solved. These are codes that indicate a fault with an SRS system part/component such as:
· driver airbag codes
· seat belt codes
· impact sensor codes
2) Hard Codes:
Scanners cannot clear these codes. These codes are stored after a vehicle accident and are also known as crash data. Also, these codes can indicate other hardware issues. Problems with the airbag control module circuit board components
Hard Codes require professional reset services that MyAirbags' IPC-Certified technicians reset daily. Our technicians have already reset millions of modules for our satisfied customers!

This vehicle will run a diagnostic test every time the key is turned on. If the light is on, there is likely still a fault. You should have someone check for trouble codes in the airbag module.
It is my experience that, once an airbag is deployed, there is an "arming" switch (usually the control module itself) that also needs to be replaced.

check your owners manual,I think your car has a fuel shut off switch.they are usually located in the trunk on the drivers side.they need to be reset if you are in an accident or when the airbags deploy.

I just repaired my 93 aerostar with the same problem. there is a sensor in front of the radiator, and behind the front center section of the grill. need to remove the section of grill (4 screws) in the center, under the hood latch is a black box with a wire attached. remove the black box, 2 screws. wire brush the points where the mounting bracket comes in contact with the frame. also clean the 2 bolts and washers, down to bare metal. This is a problem of electrical contact. the sensor has to be well grounded to the frame to work properly. Just took me 10 mins. and no more warning light.

Take the seats belts apart and manually roll them back. Everything is the same on the 2 cars except the engine and tranny
