I just don't get why that doesn't work right in the first place. ... 1999 yukon air pump doesnt work replaced 3 times throws service engine light but after disconnecting battery air pump works again with no service light on ,but only for x amount of miles/start ups then...

Check for bare wires and loose connections. Spikes in the line could cause it to trip. The pump itself could be the cause. it maybe heating up or drawing more power after working continuously for some hours. That is the reason it works again after a reset.

What type of oil pump is on 1999 GMC Yukon V8 5.7L 350? Is it 3/8 or 5/4, I am getting the motor rebuilt.

If you are referring to the pickup screen tube size, it would be either a 3/4inch or a 5/8 inch Most rplacement pumps use the 3/4. If in doubt, buy the pump and pickup at the same time and get both of them in the same size.

Heater not working good will blow cold air then hot. low coolant light comes on.

I had same problem on my 2001 gmc yukon. I found leak under my water pump. I replaced it myself and the problem was cured. heater wont work because there is not enough water to be heated for the heater.

Have no heat in 1999 yukon. ac works. blower motor doesnt seem 2 blow as hard as it use 2

You could have leaves plugging the vent intake.
Of you could have a flap motor that is not working.
Have someone move the controls back and forth between defrost, AC, floor heat, etc., and watch the flaps under the dash. If the motor does not make a sound, it would be the switch, motor, or low speed resistors. But if it is turning, then it is probably the air flow.

remove the fuel tank, make sure your almost out of gas and be careful not to break the plastic lines ontop on teh fuel tank while removing.

HOW DO I CHANGE MY WATER PUMP ON MY 99 GMC YUKON?

remove belt drain radiator remove fan shroud remove fan /pulley remove top hose on water pump and lower hose un bolt water pump remember mark bolts because lower longer need sealant due to they go into water jacket remove and clean around both water openings before setting in place hook up upper bypass hose easier to hook up before install--replace and rebolt everything

Check Fuse #3 in the under hood fuse block it is the only common connection I can make.

C'mon man, girl, relax , this is not even a problem, did you change thermostat ? hope so, is it installed in the right position ? are your radiator hoses bad, replace if worn , soft, etc., with truck warming up watch to see if hoses collapse, if old replace anyway . use 50/50 coolant mix, are heater hoses ok, not leaking ?

I dont heard about bleeder valve in the water/cooling system in this model; I am still not sure is the bleeding of the cooling system, manual says "disconnect the coolant air bleed hose at the throttle body".
