Location of blower speed control resistors in Saturn SL1
Should be next to the blower or where passenger feet is at the black box down there u should be able to pull straight down and it right there
My problem is the passenger compartment fan starts then quits after 1 mt. turn off for 3-4 mt and turn on the fan repeats, to me sounds like a thermal fuse or a problem with the speed resistors. Fan draws 7 amp at 12v turns freely by hand no burning at fan terminals. I have taken the dash apart including the air bag out there is nothing there. The fan switch wiring runs in to the main harness up behind the main console across the too left side of the dash there is a break out into a black box with two plug connectors. The box contains the piezio sounder, a processor and a couple of 3 pin semi's. The main part of the harness then appears to go into the engine compartment. The relay fuse block under the center console has no sign of a burned connector. I did a visual inspection of all connectors and fuse/relay terminals.

my car is leaking antifreeze near the pullyes no hoses are leaking
so what can it be
SOURCE: where is the location of the heater blower motor
No need to tear the dash out. The blower is located above the
passenger's feet, below the glove compartment. You access it from
underneath. Three small black bolts hold it on and there is a two wire electrical
connector on the bottom that must be removed. The motor drops down with the fan blade attached. Should take about 5 or 10 minutes to remove.
I have a '93 SL2 and the interior is the same as an SL1 or 2 from '92, '93, '94 and maybe even a '95.

Call junkyards, look on ebay or craigslist, and find out. You are obviously going to need a used part. Having located a used part, find a mechanic to find out how much the labor will be.
