I would be looking for a sticking thermostat, especially if it hasn't been changed for 2 or 3 years. Less likely would be the clutch fan not working properly. Hope this helps.
If 2.4 engine its on the top of the thermostat housing,if 3.3 or 3.8 engine its on the lower part of the intake manifold near the thermostat,if looking at eng from the front of vehicle its to the left next to a fitting that a heater hose is connected to
the thermostat is located just above the fan shaft, or ontop of the water pump. at least on the 2.2? and 4.3l engines. Which i think was only available. You may have to remove the plastic Vortec cover to see it.
you have to reove the front air filter look at the upper radiatir hose follow the hose to the engine its under that housing hope it FIXYA our problem thank you pierre
