As per the attached pictures in GMC Sierra 2009 I can't find any access to the AC filter!
Doesn't have one?
Hey guys, GOOD NEWS.
.
After long tired search i've found the air filtering spot, i've opened the hood and removed the plastic cover under the glass wiper front of the passenger seat, there was like a square metal plate sealed with glue, i removed it then i'v seen the entrance of the A.C air flow, but it was after a long time so i was already got tired, anyways i've seen it but i couldn't reach it, i think it will be accessible if i removed the upper gloves drawer or the passenger front panel cover...
i wonder why they did it that hard way.
for your information you all, there is no air conditioning system without air filter... ever.

It would be located behind the glove box, if your yukon came equipped with one.
SOURCE: where is the cabin filter on a sierra 2004 gmc sle
The 04 SIERRA is behind a panel with 4 screws under the glove
box...Remove the screws and cover and slide it out. There is actually 2
in there and it is easy once the cover is off.
Usually there are extremely detailed instructions that come with the
new filter when you open the box...Follow these instructions it
shouldn't be too hard.

I can only advise you as to the replacement of a 2002 Sierra, under the dash behind the glove box compartment is a plastic panel held on with four screws, remove this panel and the cabin air filter should be easily identified and replaceable, if you purchase a filter from an Auto Zone Auto parts store or a similiar parts store, they will advise you of whether your vehicle is equipped with the filter/filters and also where its location will be.
Some vehicles are equipped with (two) cabin filters, and also I am told that if you purchase an OEM part(Original Equipment Part) instructions are to be included in the box to further assist you.

I'm not sure but i think 03 and later yukons dont have them, I have an 05 yukon and pulled the cover off only to find solid plasic and nothing else to remove, certainly no clips to undue to remove anything. I looked and looked for about an hour. After some research on the net, it looks like there isn't one. strange they sell the part for my year. Either that or im looking in the wrong place.

The cabin filter is located above passengers feet,There is a large black plastic cover that needs to be removed and then you will see a narrow plastic cover that snaps in to place.Pull that cover out of your way and they will be right there, there is two of them replace both and be ready for dust and dirt on your floor board.worth doing makes huge difference
