SOURCE: AC is blowing out HOT air... How to get to the Blend Door to check it?
No, you just need to fill freon gas.

none of the above, the vent door is stuck inthe open position most probable cause is vacum leak look closer to your fire wall and you will see a very thin vacum hose going into the vehice which seems to be unpluged!!
SOURCE: WILL NOT SWITCH AIR FLOW STUCK IN DEFORST VENT
when your car is in defrost it has an ac cycling it removes the moisture then sends the air over the heater core depending on how warm you set it you can feel warm or cold but the ac is always cycling...ridding the moisture...you need a good ac tech it will be okay...its just expensive going into the heater core if needed...!

For a 95 Chevy Silverado....I replaced the Blend Door Actuator on the passenger side. Just behind the slide out cup holder. Yo ucan acces easily by removing the ash tray piece and the glove box....Or just the glove box and work like hell to get a socket in a tight place.
There are 2 actuators....one controlling the (Mode and Temp 89018681) and the other the (Air Inlet 89018367). I called the dealer and the parts were 85-125. I got it From TBA Auto (local store) for 39.00. A 20 min job at most.
