Connect the solid green with the solid green. and the others. if you have the connector with wires just match the position right and left one by one

SOURCE: my 2004 dodge neon 2&3 cylinder are not fireing

It seems like it may not have compression, where as all you need to do to test it is get an engine compression tester, which is a gaudge with a long extension on it to check your cyllender compression. remove all 4 spark plugs, have someone crank the engine over as you hold the gaudge in place. (it may make a pop noise ot a quick hiss if you don't hold down on the tester enough and sometimes when you release it) and if you have the new parts, and the plug is getting the spark, then it may be a head or heade gaskit issue. If you don't have a compression tester, you can usualy rent them at any advance auto parts or autozone. All you do is pay for the tool upfront, and when you return it you get all your money back.
Hope this helps!

SOURCE: replacing front turn signal socket on 1990 dodge shadow

Okay. Hook black to black.
Green to green with white stripe.
Yellow to red with white stripe.
That should work. Nothing is going to blow up if it's wrong. It just won't work.

SOURCE: Fusible link wire gets really hot.

Removing the two smaller wires stops the exciter current to the alt which stops it charging.
Usually if a wire is getting hot its because:
A: Current overload..
B: Corrosion in wire restricting current.
C: Corroded terminal.

SOURCE: dodge neon 2002. My alternator is not charging,

wires run direct to alternator from battery ,test big lead for a permanant 12v supplyon the back of the alternator if you have one then the problem is either the brushes worn out or the commutator worn through.or the regulator either way its a recon unit as parts are not sold seperate anymore as not many dealer mechanics know how to repair anything and the spares shops make more profit on a unit than parts so they do not sell spares to stop people like me and you from doing our own repairs

Dodge neon 2002 need help

i just had this same problem on my wife's 98. check the alternator to starter hot wire (at starter solenoid) hers was rusted not passing enough current to crank starter. 5 amp for solenoid, 80 amp for starter. jumper wire off battery worked every time. replaced connector and all good. coroded wires = higher resistance = lower amperage passing and possable fire-hazard

P0622 code appears, pulled dk green wire to check for short, unplugged off altnator did continutity test, was no short in wire to pcm plug in Hooked up to pcm intermitted readings showing short.Do I need new...

Your best bet would be to go to an alternator rebuilding shop and have them test the alternator. They should be able to advise you. Sometimes, a different voltage regulator can be installed in the alternator if the one in the PCM goes bad. This was done on a lot of Dodge vehicles some years back. Lots cheaper than buying a new PCM. Good luck, and let us know what you find out.

I have a 2003 dodge neon sxt and i can locate the alternator but i dont see how to take if off please help

To remove the alternator you will need to raise the front of the car and block the rear wheels. Disconnect the negetive wire from the battery. Loosen the upper alternator adjustment boltnut. Remove the right front tire and the accessory drivebelt splash shield. Loosen the alternator lower mounting bolt. Remove the alternator drive belt and disconnect the electrical connectors from the alternator. Remove the upper and lower adjustment bolts and remove alternator. You will have to remove the alternator bracket when you lower the alternator down. Installation is the reverse of removal. Hope this will help you.

Different wiring plugs

If it were me, I'd cut off the connectors and switch them, but I solder things every day. I don't think they make any adapter wiring harness for this problem.
