I have a 2012 BMW C600 Sport scooter. Recently I have noticed few drops of oil on the garage floor after riding. The bottom of the engine around the oil drain plug was greasy so I initially though the oil drain plug was leaking - not the case. It appears small quantities of oil makes its way from the back of the engine. Any ideas - any help is much appreciated
SOURCE: radiator leak
It could aslo be the exausht manifold leak i just last month had to have that fixed. run your car for some time then stop and check underneath see if it is leaking towards back end of engine or if you can hear a hissing sound fron middle top of engine
SOURCE: muffler blowing white smoke
take it back the engine has a blown head gasket or cracked head all cost over 1200 to fix

Ok, I have enough information to go on here i think. this leak is a sign of a more serious issue within the block of your engine. regarding the leakage, this can be caused by a worn piston ring set. this is serious and it is also causing the blue gray smoke as well among other issues. I will list a group check list that i recommend preforming to combat this combination issue that you are experiencing. the smoke and leak are a combination of very serious issues that are causing oil consumption.the list reads below.
CHECK LIST CONCERNING THE LEAK AND BLUE GRAY SMOKE ISSUE--
1 Inspect Engine (DOMESTIC ONLY) Worn or Scored Cylinder Block.
2 Inspect Piston Ring Set Worn or Broken Piston Rings.
3 Inspect Valve Stem Seals Damaged or Faulty Valve Stem Seals.
4 Inspect Engine (DOMESTIC ONLY) Low Cylinder Compression.
5 Inspect Head Gasket Leaking Head Gasket.
6 Inspect Valve Lifter Worn Valve Lifter(s).
7 Inspect Rocker Arm Worn or Incorrectly Adjusted Rocker Arm(s).
I recommend replacing all the above. this will obviously constitute a complete re build but, its basically where you are headed considering the actual mileage in this vehicle and the symptoms you stated.
Please rate and god bless:)
SOURCE: Coolant/Oil Leak... Big or Little problem?
there are a lot of things that can cause this problem.. but I feel we
are talking about needing a new water pump the water pump is most
likely going out. get this checked out
immediately it can very easily damage your motor by
overheating so find a friend or somebody that knows where the water
pump is located on this car. it will most likely show signs of water dripping around it a sure sign its bad.
this is going to take somebody with a little knowledge in this area to
replace do to the side mount engine I have done this my self it was not that difficult but I do
have the tools and experience to do the job. I will tell you to buy
your water pump from advance auto parts or other reputable parts store
in your area if you go to auto-zone you will be doing it again. as far as the oil leaks it is probably the valve cover gasket that is bad and slowly leaking keep an eye on your oil don't let it get low the oil leak is ugly on your driveway but does not have as large a risk of damaging your engine as the water pump as long as it is a small leak take care of the water pump first then look for your oil leak. I hope this helps
SOURCE: Small oil leak
Most likely it is your ATF container is leaking were the two hoses on the bottom connect to it. Also there is an o-ring on the cap that can be replaced. Replace the hose clamps at the bottom with quality claps with rounded over edges. Try this part number at Bavarian Autosport, CL 16-25. Here is the BMW part number for the o-ring: 32411128333. The o-ring on the oil filter cover comes with and is replaced with the filter.
