SOURCE: 2008 Dodge Avenger...I ran out
Look on the top of the engine where the fuel line coming from the fuel tank go...you should see a rail that the fuel injectors are connected to...there should be a small connector that sort of looks like a tire fill valve with a screw on cover..this is a port coming from the fuel delivery line that is used for checking your fuel pump pressure...there is a valve inside(just like on a tire) that if you have someone assist you, and press in the valve while you turn the key on and off several times. You should get fuel out of this line after sevewral times of turning the key on/off...once fuel starts coming out then you have purged the line and you should be able to start the car...screw the cap back on once you see fuel come out then the car should start....if after you turn key on/off several times and the fuel does not start coming out then there may be a problem with the fuel pump..maybe is sucked up sediment in the tank and now it's locked up(but thats not a likely failure)

I had a 90 Dodge 250 Custom Van that would stop without warning and after a few minutes would restart. Turned out it was the brain. Got one from a junk yard from a 96 DODGE Truck and it solved the problem entirely. A lot cheaper than a new one too. Hope that works, ~Rick Magee, FL
