The adjustment is done by the idler pulley. loosen the nut that holds the pulley on. adjust on or off by the bolt immediately behind the idler pulley. most adjustments are right when the longest section of belt between 2 pulleys can be depressed about the thickness of the belt

SOURCE: Need to adjust the low beams on my '02 Hyundai

Headlight adjustment is fairly straight forward, you will need to park the car on a level surface with a fence or wall 25 feet away and a reference point for measurements to the right or left of the car. First measure from the reference point to the center line of the car then transfer that to the wall, second, measure from the center of the car to the center of the headlights and transfer those to the wall, third, measure from the ground to the center of the headlights and transfer that to the wall. Once all of the reference points have been transferred, adjust the left (driver's side) headlight so that the most intense part of the beam is 2 inches below and 2 inches to the right of the left mark, the right (passenger side) headlight should be adjusted so that it will be 2 inches below and 1 inch to the left of the mark. If done correctly, you will have very good night vision without blinding oncoming traffic.

P.S. Please note that any heavy objects in the car will be a factor in correct headlight adjustment, have the car loaded as it will be normally used.

1994mitsubishispacewagon still overheats after replacing auxilliary fan sensor, cleaned the hoses, pls help

Thermostat stuck take it out. leave it out .. try it ...then
put in a new one...or water pump weak. Also try wiring the auxiliary fan and any other fans so that anytime the vehicles motor is ON the fans are ON don't depend on a sensor on a Mitsubishi of that age...fans that don't come on soon enough, or stay on long enough, or turn on at all without letting you know until the motor overheats..... , are the leading cause of death for vehicles~!! lol

Fan belt dosent track properly on tentioner

Hi Jim, Seems you need a replacement belt and a good look inside the engine compartment to check if any of the bearing for the pulley's are are shot. If there is exsesive plave even in the bearing of one pulley, that can cause a problem. Another problem area could be created if any replacements have been made of any parts which are driven by the same belt.Regards John

2005 santa fe 2.7 need to know how to replace timing belt, and do I really need the kit .....etc....and how much should a shop do it for.....thanks....mac

Hello, I don't know what the kit includes. A good reptable shope would probably charge you by the hour. I'm thinking maybe 1 to 1 1 1/2 hour to do the job. Of course, this will depend on how much suff has to be taken off to get to the timing belts. GB...stewbison

Hello I have a Hyundai Tiburon 2003 v6gt. My car started overheating when I drove on freeway at 65 mph at 3.5 rpm and also when I'm on acceleration. I brought it to Hyundai dealer then they say my...

You said 65 mph @ 3500 rpm's? The rpm's are too high for that speed. Now, I do not know the drivetrain in a Hyundai, but any GM or Ford will run 65 mph @ 2500 rpm's. Are you sure you are putting the transmission in "D" and not "3"? "D" will be the third click from "P". If you are sure then try this:

Physically look in the radiator under the cap when cool, for coolant level, and check the valve in the cap for sticking. If air is present in the radiator it can't get out, and more coolant can't get in,(from the overflow). Either clean the cap or replace it and check that it is the CORRECT cap.
Radiator fins dirty, clean with a strong stream of water, not high pressure water.
Radiator clogged, try backflushing it, or replace.
Thermostat stuck open or shut, replace it.
Water pump worn out, can no longer move enough coolant, replace it.
Fan shroud broken or missing....
Electric Fan(s) not working, Check the fan, relay, fuse and engine temperature sensor's.
Belt driven fan, belt slipping, fan clutch is bad, fan blades have flattened out.

Air dam under front bumper is gone, loose, or broken. It actually has a purpose other than scraping on the driveway or curbs. It forces air up into and thru the condenser and radiator. If it's loose, airflow can actually push it out of place making it useless or blocking the airflow. Along with that, there may also be a plastic piece attached to the bottom of, and wraps up behind the bumper. If it's loose, airflow can actually push it out of place blocking the airflow. Simply reattach it with 4 or 5 screws.

Also, if the vehicle has A/C and electric fans, one fan is dedicated to the A/C and should come on almost the instant the A/C is turned on. The engine fan will run even with the key off, that is normal. The system is trying to cool itself. Hope this helps.

I replaced both belts and set the number plug in the up position and adjusted cams and the car would not start. What's I'm doing wrong?

Don't know what size engine ,so assuming it's a six cylinder, 2 belts. There are two up positions on a cylinder. compression stroke and exhaust stroke. you could have the cam/s off 180 degrees.

11. Then recheck the belt tension Verify that when the tensioner and the tension side of the timing belt are pushed in horizontally with a moderate force approximately 49N (11 lb)], the timing belt cog end is approximately 1/2 of the tensioner mooting bolt head radius (across flats) away from the bolt head center.
