2001 ford explorer sport drivers window is stuck in the down position

well it can be all these causes
fuses blown , no other windows failing
the motor is bad, or its child proof clutch inside dead
the switch to turn it on is dead.(bad)
it is jammed. i pull door card
then see if guides are wreck of rust for 22 years, yes.
then pull the motor out and move the window by hand oops its jammed. cause is obvious , looking
a volt meter on motor pins shows 12vdc ,upbutton pushed
gets you to the motor bad/window jam point off failure
but yes some motors do short. so check voltage unplugged too.

On my 2001 kia sportage the back two windows won't go down and the right front window is stuck halfway up

make sure power windows lock out switch on driver side not on position, that will cause power windows not work or you have faulty power window relay.

My driver side window on my 2001 ford explorer wont go up but it will go down. How can I know whether its a fuse, motor, or regulator...

If the window goes down , you have power, you need to check the switch first then test the window motor for proper operation

01 ford exp. sport fuse box pic.. the drivers side window just stopped working today ,good thing it was up..

If you can hear the window motor working ,the drive belt is probably broken ,that is to make the window go up or down .
If no sound ,the wire's in the door jam are probably broken ,you can test this by using a test light.
Also, check the electrical connection's on the window motor, and make sure they are not melted.
