i did not test for power to the drivers side door lock switch but assume there is communications from the switch when i can program the door locks (i can change the door lock mode).

I had the same problem with my 05 chevy colorado. I had a check engine light come on and previously pulled codes on it. when got to the house the light came back on. I disconnected the negitive terminal to take the light off.Light came off but now power locks wont work as well as driver side window. Fuse good now wondering if theres a relay or mabe the switch is closed and cant recieve current.

Wow! I thought I was the only one with these problems, I was ready to set fire to the truck. lol It first started with the check engine light. Went to auto store and used a scanner. I disconnected my negative battery cable and then cleaned my throttle body. When I hooked it back up, my drivers side window woulnt go down, but the rest did. My keyless remote didnt work, nor di any of the butons inside the truck for that matter. After messing around, and checking every fuse, it just seemed to come on. Recently, I changed my battery terminals, and now they are back to not working.

door locks not working. driver seat window not working. I checked fuse, okay. all the other windows work. The battery keep going dead.

  • Anonymous Mar 01, 2009

My wife left my key on after she got a cd out of the player. Battery was low when I realized she did it. Truck started next day but after driving for about twenty minutes the driver side window and power door locks don't work. Fuses are good took switch out and cleaned , still no drivers side power window or doorlocks...passenger window works with that side switch and master control on drivers side.

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

well if i didn't have a scanner to check the body control module to verify communication to and from the switch , i would use a test light and check the drivers side door lock switch , power comes from that #21 fuse straight to the driver switch , orange wire , check if its hot , if so , it would sound like a master switch issue .

  • Anonymous May 11, 2010

in the fuse block under the hood , there is a door lock fuse , its # 21 , its a 20 amp fuse , you say this is verified good ?

That's the problem I'm having right now exactly. Had the light come on, pulled the codes, now the same problem with the locks and window. Tried putting in a new Master lock switch, new battery's in the key fob. Still nothing.

It is a bad problem for the Colorado's. Problem is absolutely traced to the drivers window and lock module. Replacing it does the trick at $130. Some have disasembled the module and took the circuit board and placed it in a oven at 375 degrees for 8 minutes. This seems to fix cold solder joints on the board and is worth a try before replacement (won' harm a bad part). Nothing lost to try it.

On the Chevy key fob, press and hold the "Unlock" and "Lock" buttons at the same time until you hear the door lock and unlock again. This means you're all set. Re-insert the programmed key back into the ignition to the "On" position to finish the Chevy key fob programming process

How do I program fob for mabilu maxx 2005

You have to go to a Chevy dealer. They have a hand-held computer they plug into your car to get it into programming mode. Probably cost $50-$60. Call them for an estimate.

Rocker switches, nor remote will lock or unlock doors fuse good

So , the power door locks won't lock or unlock with switches inside the vehicle or with the keyless entry remote fob.??? Is this correct ????
Do you know what a BCM - body control module is ? Do you know what diagnostic trouble codes are ? If not your best bet would be to take your vehicle to a GM dealer or someother qualified repair shop.
DTC B3142 or B3143
The body control module (BCM) provides an output to the driver switch assembly through the door unlock control circuit for controlling automatic door unlock, anti-lockout, and keyless entry unlock functions.
DTC B3152 or B3153
It could be the driver door master switch , could have broken wires inside the rubber boot from the body to the door . Do the power windows work ?
The keyless entry system has the following main components:
• The transmitters
• The body control module (BCM)
When you press a button on a transmitter, the transmitter sends a signal to the BCM. The BCM interprets the signal and activates the requested function.

How did you do this ,,checked and made sure locks and remote programmed, they were, but still do not work ?????

Need a scan tool to program
Important: All key fobs must be programmed each time any one fob is programmed. The scan tool must stay connected until all of the transmitters are programmed.
Install a scan tool and navigate to the BCM Module Setup menu.
Select Program Key Fobs.
Follow the scan tool on-screen directions.
When the programming operations have completed, operate the transmitter functions to verify correct system operation.

CHevy cobalt door locks- lock and unlock while I am driving had key fob reprogrammed and it was ok for about two hours and started all over again. What can the problem be?

Could be a problem in the shiftier. Your car doors lock automatically when you put the car in drive. They unlock when you put the car in park. The switch located in the shiftier can go bad causing the locks to randomly lock and unlock. Also, this can cause the key to get stuck in the ignition.

Chevy Impala Door lock issue

Which is it, 98 Eclipse, or 06 Impala? Either way, your door lock actuator is stuck in the locked position either electrically or mechaically. The way to check this is to remove the door panel and unplug the actuator. If door lock can now be moved then you have an electrical problem (faulty door lock switch or faulty door lock module). If you still cannot unlock door then actuator is mechanically bad and must be replace (usually the case)
